    Safety Instructions

    1. Before using the device, read the instruction manual and follow the instructions contained therein.
    2. The device is for non-commercial use only. The equipment is useful for camping.
    3. Do not use it for other purposes incompatible with its intended use.
    4. Be especially careful when using the device when children are around.
    5. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
    6. Do not allow children or persons unfamiliar with the appliance to use it.
    7. Always remove the plug from the power outlet after use by holding the outlet with your hand.
    8. Do not immerse the cord or the entire device in water or other liquid.
    9. Periodically check the condition of the power cord.
    10. Do not use the device near flammable materials.
    11. The power cord must not hang over the edge of the table or touch hot surfaces.

    Using the Device

    The power cables (9) DC 12V with plug for car socket and the power cables (10) AC 220-240V~ 50/60Hz with plug for wall socket are permanently mounted to the unit housing and are located in the cover recess (2).

    1. Clean the unit before first use according to the Cleaning and Maintenance section.
    2. Place the unit on a stable horizontal surface. Open the lid (2) by first repositioning the handle (3) on the front of the unit. Put food or a beverage into the appliance compartment (1). It is recommended to pack the food in food-grade bags or containers before placing it in the chamber (1).
    3. Make sure the power control switch (6) on the appliance control panel is in the OFF position.

    Operation

      • Connect: – plug (9) of the power cord into the 12V DC outlet in your car. Make sure your car’s ignition is turned on to have power to the cigarette lighter, or connect the plug (10) of the power cord to the power outlet.
      • Set the mode switch (7) to: – “HOT” if you want to store warm food, or – “COLD” when you want the food to remain cold.
      • Set the power control switch (6) to any MAX / OFF / ECO position as required: – ECO: The unit is in energy saving mode (can only be selected in 220-240V mode). It is recommended for food storage at near ambient temperature.
      • Cooling is minimal; – OFF: The unit is turned off; – MAX: The unit is operating (cooling or heating) at maximum power.
      • After the operation, set the power control switch (6) to the “OFF” position and disconnect the wires.

    Cleaning & Maintainance

    1. Disconnect the power cord before cleaning.
    2. Do not use rough sponges or hard brushes, cloths or towels, as this may damage the unit.
    3. Do not immerse or soak the device.
    4. Clean the air vents (4) with a dry brush.

    Environmental Instructions

    • Dispose of cardboard packaging and polyethylene (PE) bags in the appropriate containers for separate collection of municipal waste according to their description.
    • If there are batteries in the device, remove them and separately return them to the collection and storage facility. Return the used device to a suitable collection and storage facility, as the hazardous substances in it may pose a threat to health and the environment.
    • Waste electrical equipment is waste that contains substances harmful to humans, animals, and the environment.
    • These substances can lead to contamination of the soil, water, or air, and through this they can get into the human body and lead to numerous health ailments, such a vision, hearing, and speech disorders; they can also lead to kidney, liver, and heart damage, and cause skin diseases.
    • Harmful substances can also have adverse effects on the respiratory and reproductive systems and lead to cancerous changes. Consumption of plants growing on the contaminated soils, and products made from them, may risk the above-mentioned health effects.

    Depending on the environment, the refrigerator can drop the temperature by up to 18 to 20°C. It is not intended for freezing, but rather for cooling and preserving food.

    Does the ADLER AD 8092 also have a heating function?

    Indeed, it has a warming option that can raise the temperature to about 60°C, which is ideal for keeping food or beverages warm while travelling. Before switching between the heating and cooling modes, always turn the unit off and allow it to cool.

    Can I store medicines or skincare products in this mini fridge?

    Of course. It is appropriate for skincare products, cosmetics, and several medications due to its steady cooling. But always make sure to first check the product’s specific storage temperature requirements.
