FAQs
Q: What is the power rating of the cooktop?
Ans: With a power output of up to 1800 watts, the NS-IC1ZBK0 may be adjusted at several levels to suit different cooking requirements, such as searing or simmering.
Q: Is the cooktop safe to touch while in use?
Ans: The area just beneath the cookware may get heated from residual heat, while the surface surrounding the hob remains comparatively cool. Never touch or clean it until it has cooled.
Q: Can I use the cooktop outdoors or for camping?
Ans: It is only meant to be used indoors. However, if you have a stable, dry, and protected setup with access to power, you can use it outdoors occasionally (e.g., RVs, patios, or cabins). Never expose to rain or extreme temperatures.
Q: Does the cooktop remember previous settings?
Ans: No. When the NS-IC1ZBK0 is unplugged or turned off, it switches to standby mode for safety. When restarting, you’ll have to manually choose your timer and power level again.
Q: What is the minimum and maximum pan size I can use?
Ans: Pans with a base diameter of roughly 4.5 to 10 inches (11.5 to 25.5 cm) are the ideal fit for the hob. Too small or too large cookware may not heat properly or trigger error messages.
Q: Is it energy efficient?
Ans: Indeed! Induction cooking is highly efficient—up to 90% of the energy goes directly into heating your pan, compared to ~70% for electric coils and ~40% for gas.
