FAQs
What are the Labnet ProBlot Rocker 25 and 25XL used for?
These rockers are ideal for Western blotting, gel staining/destaining, membrane washing, and hybridisation procedures because they are made to mix materials gently and consistently.
What is the difference between the 25 and 25XL models?
While the 25XL has an extra-large platform that can accommodate more or larger vessels, making it perfect for high-throughput workflows, the ProBlot 25 has a lower platform size that is appropriate for typical lab use.
What is the rocking motion like?
With a preset tilt angle of ±7°, all versions provide a see-saw rocking motion that guarantees even liquid distribution across samples without splashing.
Is the speed adjustable?
Indeed. The variable speed control on both models, which ranges from 5 to 120 RPM, enables users to adjust the agitation intensity based on the application.
Can I set a timer on the rocker?
There is no built-in timer in the ordinary variants. If timed runs are required, users can utilise an external timer to operate the devices.
Is the ProBlot Rocker safe for use in cold rooms or incubators?
Indeed. The 25 and 25XL are made to work in temperature-controlled settings, such as cold rooms and non-CO₂ incubators, between +4°Cand 65 65°C.
What types of containers can I use on the platform?
Petri dishes, blot boxes, flasks, culture plates, and bags can all be stored on the platforms. Included are non-slip mats to assist in keeping containers secure when rocking.
Can I replace or customize the platform?
Indeed. For certain applications, Labnet offers replacement platforms as well as optional flat or dimpled mats.
