    Intended Use

This section deals with the basic safety regulations for working with the device. A woodcutter is a dangerous device that can cause serious or even fatal injuries if used incorrectly or negligently. Therefore, for your safety and the safety of others, always observe the following safety instructions:

    Operation

Various symbols are used in the operating instructions. They refer to potential dangers or point to technical information, the non-observance of which will lead to personal injury, damage to objects, or inefficient operation.

    • Danger sign with information about the prevention of personal injury or damage to property.
    • Note signs with information on how to better use the device
    • Wear cut-resistant gloves.

    Use & Care

    • Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs by Ronix.
    • Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
    • Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact.
    • Don’t force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application.
    • The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
    • Don’t use the power tool if the switch doesn’t turn on and off.
    • Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
    • Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
    • If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use.
    • Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
    • Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
    • Use the power tool, accessories, and tool bits, etc. to the instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed.
    • Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
    Service
    • Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
    • This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
    • Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
    • Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.

    Cordless Chainsaw

    • Keep all parts of the body away from the saw chain when the chainsaw is operating. Before you start the chainsaw, make sure the saw chain is not contacting anything. A moment of inattention while operating chainsaws may cause entanglement of your clothing or body with the saw chain.
    • Wear safety glasses and hearing protection. Further protective equipment for the head, hands, legs, and feet is recommended. Adequate protective clothing will reduce personal injury from flying debris or accidental contact with the saw chain.
    • Do not operate a chainsaw in a tree. Operation of a chainsaw while up in a tree may result in personal injury.
    • Carry the chainsaw by the front handle with the chainsaw switched off and away from your body. When transporting or storing the chainsaw saw always fit the guide bar cover.
    • Follow instructions for lubricating, chain tensioning, and changing accessories. An improperly tensioned or lubricated chain may either break or increase the chance of kickback.
    • Cut wood only. Do not use a chainsaw for purposes not intended. For example, do not use a chainsaw for cutting plastic, masonry, or non-wood building materials.
    • Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Greasy, oily handles are slippery, causing loss of control.Ronix-8651-20-V-Cordless-Brushless-Chainsaw-Fig-1
    • Maintain a firm grip, with thumbs and fingers encircling the chainsaw handles, with both hands on the saw, position your body and arm to allow you to resist kickback forces. Kickback forces can be controlled by the operator if proper precautions are taken. Do not let go of the chainsaw.
    • Do not overreach and do not cut above shoulder height. This helps prevent unintended tip contact and enables better control of the chainsaw in unexpected situations.
    • Follow the manufacturer’s sharpening and maintenance instructions for the saw chain.

    Battery Instructions

    • The battery needs to be charged before first use and whenever it fails to produce sufficient power on jobs that were easily done before.
    • When charging the battery for the first time, or after prolonged storage, it will only accept an 80% charge.
    • After several charge and discharge cycles, the battery will attain full capacity.
    • The battery may become warm while charging. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
    • Remove it from the tool and insert it into the charge station.
    • The battery pack will only fit into the charger in one way.
    • Do not force. Be sure that the battery is fully seated in the charger.
    • The remaining battery capacity is too low, and the tool will not operate. In this situation, remove and recharge the battery.

    Functions

Remove the Battery from the Chainsaw

    • To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the tool while pressing the button on the front of the cartridge. To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on the battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip it into place. Insert it until it locks in place with a little click.

    SWITCH ACTION

To prevent the switch trigger from being accidentally pulled, a lock-off button is provided. To start the tool, depress the lock-off button and pull the switch trigger. Release the switch trigger to stop the tool.

    Assembly

    Installing or Removing the Saw

    • Loosen the screw by turning counterclockwise the knob until the sprocket cover comes off. Remove the sprocket cover. Remove the saw chain and guide bar from the tool.
    • Fit one end of the saw chain on the top of the guide bar. At this time, fit the saw chain as shown in the figure because it rotates in the direction of the arrow.
    • Insert the hook of the sprocket cover into the hole in the tool, and then place the sprocket cover on the tool.
    • Turn the knob clockwise to tighten the screw firmly.

    Adjusting Tension

Just a slight loosening of the screw allows the saw chain tension to be adjusted. After adjusting, tighten the screw firmly.

    Lubrication

The Saw chain is automatically lubricated when the tool is in operation. Check the amount of remaining oil in the oil tank periodically. Check the amount of remaining oil in the oil tank through the oil inspection window. To refill the tank, remove the cap from the oil tank opening. After refilling the tank, always screw the provided oil tank cap on the chainsaw.Ronix-8651-20-V-Cordless-Brushless-Chainsaw-Fig-9

    • Never use oil, including dust and particles, or volatile oils.
    • Before cutting out, make sure that the provided oil tank cap is screwed in place. Hold the chainsaw away from the tree. Start it and wait until the lubrication on the saw chain is adequate.

    Pruning Trees

    • Keep all parts of the body away from the saw chain when the motor is operating.
    • Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands when the motor is running.
    • Make sure your footing is firm. Keep feet apart. Divide your weight evenly on both feet.Ronix-8651-20-V-Cordless-Brushless-Chainsaw-Fig-10
    • Bring the lower guide into contact with the branch to be cut before switching it on. Cutting without bringing the lower guide into contact with the branch may cause the guide bar to wobble, resulting in injury to the operator. When cutting thick branches, first make a shallow undercut and then make the finish cut from the top.Ronix-8651-20-V-Cordless-Brushless-Chainsaw-Fig-11
    • If you try to cut off thick branches from the bottom, the branch may close in and pinch the saw chain in the cut. If you try to cut off thick branches from the top without a shallow undercut, the branch may splinter.Ronix-8651-20-V-Cordless-Brushless-Chainsaw-Fig-12
    • For better cutting, use the lower guide of the chainsaw.

    • Cutting edges on the chain are sharp. Use protective gloves when handling chains.
    • When cleaning the saw body
    • Do not submerge the saw in any liquids.
    • Do not use products that contain ammonia, chlorine, or abrasives
    • Do not use chlorinated cleaning solvents, carbon tetrachloride, kerosene, or gasoline

    Chainsaw Tension

The saw chain tension is properly set at the factory. A new chain will stretch. Check new chain tension frequently (after disconnecting the battery) during the first 2 hours of operation. Allow the chain to cool down. Follow the steps below to check saw chain tension.)

    • Wipe saw body to clean.
    • Uneven bar wear causes most guide bar problems.
    • Incorrect sharpening of the chain cutter and depth gauge settings often causes this.
    • When the bar wears unevenly, it widens the guide bar groove.
    • This causes chain clatter and rivet popping.
    • The saw will not cut straight.
    • Replace the guide bar if this occurs. Inspect the guide bar before sharpening the chain.
    • A worn or damaged guide bar is unsafe.
    • A worn or damaged guide bar will damage the Ronix 8923 40V Brushless Cordless Chainsaw Kit chain. It will also make cutting harder.

    Normal Guide Bar Maintenance

    1. Remove the guide bar from the chainsaw.
    2. Remove dust from the guide bar groove, Ronix 8651 20 V Cordless Brushless Chainsaw, periodically.
    3. Use a putty knife or a wire.
    4. Clean oil slots after each day of use.
    5. Remove burrs from the sides of the guide bar.
    6. Use a flat file to make the side edges square. Replace the guide bar when.
    7. The bar is bent or cracked.
    8. The inside groove of the bar is badly worn.
    Sharpening the Chainsaw

Always remove the battery cartridge and wear safety Ronix 8651 20 V Cordless Brushless Chainsaw gloves when performing work on the saw chain.

    • Mealy sawdust is produced when damp wood is cut.
    • The chain penetrates the wood with difficulty, even Ronix 8923 40V Brushless Cordless Chainsaw Kit when heavy pressure is applied.
    • The cutting edge is damaged.
    • The saw pulls to the left or right in the wood. The reason for this behavior is the uneven sharpening of the saw chain or damage to one side only.

    File & File Guiding

Use a special round file for saw chains, with a  Ronix 8651 20 V Cordless Brushless Chainsawdiameter of 4mm, to sharpen the chain. Normal round files are not suitable.

    • The file should only engage the material on the forward stroke. Lift the file of the material on the return stroke.
    • Sharpen the shortest cutter first. The length of this cutter is then the gauge dimension for all other cutters on the saw chain.
    • Guide the file as shown in the figure.
    • The file can be guided more easily if a file holder (accessory) is employed. The file holder has markings for the correct sharpening angle of 30.
    • Remove any projecting material, however, Ronix 8651 20 V Cordless Brushless Chainsaw small, with a special flat file.
    Replacing the Sprocket
    • Before fitting a new saw chain, check the condition Ronix 8923 40V Brushless Cordless Chainsaw Kit of the sprocket.
    • A worn sprocket will damage a new saw chain. Has the sprocket been replaced in this case? The sprocket needs to be installed so that it always faces as shown in the figure.
    • Always fit a new locking ring when replacing the sprocket.

    Storage

    • Store the device and its accessories in a Ronix 8651 20 V Cordless Brushless Chainsaw dark, dry, and frost-proof place that is inaccessible to children.
    • The optimum storage temperature is between 5 and 30˚C.
    • Store the electrical tool in its original packaging.
    • Cover the electrical tool to protect it from dust and moisture.
    • Store the operating manual with the electrical tool.

    FAQs

Q: How do I check and adjust chain tension correctly?

The chain should snap back into position without sagging if you carefully pull it from the guide bar. To make it snug, adjust the tension knob clockwise if it’s too loose. Because chains expand somewhat while in use, check the tension before each usage.

Q: What type of chain oil should I use?

Make use of premium bar and chain oil made especially for chainsaws. This prolongs chain life, minimises wear, and guarantees adequate lubrication.

Q: Does the chainsaw automatically oil the chain?

Indeed. Throughout operation, the Ronix 8923’s automatic oiling mechanism keeps the chain and bar lubricated. Prior to each use, make sure the oil reservoir is filled.

Q: How long does the battery last on a full charge?

The type, thickness, and cutting method of the wood all affect battery longevity; however, under typical circumstances, a 40V battery can cut continuously for 30 to 45 minutes on average.

Q: Can I use other Ronix 40V batteries with this chainsaw?

Indeed. All of the Ronix 40V garden and power tool series’ lithium-ion batteries are compatible with the Ronix 8923. Use only authentic Ronix batteries for optimal performance and safety.

Q: How powerful is the motor in the Ronix 8923?

Its high-efficiency brushless motor can cut through small trees, logs, and branches up to 12 to 14 inches in diameter because it produces little noise, a lot of torque, and lasts a long time.

Q: How do I know when the battery needs charging?

Check the battery’s LED indicator if the chainsaw suddenly stops or slows down. Before carrying on with your task, recharge the light if it indicates low power.
