    Decalcification

    Water container:

Depending on the hardness of the water in your home, the appliance should be descaled in the water container. To do this, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to the full water container and shake the appliance to distribute the solution throughout the water container. Set the device aside for several hours and empty the water container. Then rinse the entire container with clean water and leave the device to dry with the water container open.
Steam generating system: If you notice a drop in steam generation or no steam generation, you need to remove the scale from the steam generation system. For this purpose, in a measuring cup, create a

    1. solution consisting of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 tap water.
    2. Pour the solution into the water container and close the water container.
    3. Put the device in a place resistant to acid, temperature, and water. E.g., sink, shower tray, bathtub. A microfiber pad is not needed to perform descaling.
    4. Connect the device to electricity.
    5. Turn on the device. The device will start producing steam.
    6. Wait until the container empties.
    7. The device still does not produce the previous amount of steam. Repeat the operation until the desired effect is achieved.
    8. After successful descaling, rinse the container with clean water.
    9. Fill the container with clean water and turn on the device until the steam generation empties the container.
    10. The device is fully descaled.
    11. After successful descaling, rinse the container with clean water.
    12. Fill the container with clean water and turn on the device until the steam generation empties the container.

    FAQs

Q: Does the steam mop require any cleaning detergent or chemicals?

No, only water is needed to clean with the ADLER AD 7068. Without the use of chemical cleaners, the high-temperature steam efficiently sanitises and gets rid of filth.

Q: How long does it take for the mop to heat up?
The steam mop’s 1300W heating element enables it to heat up rapidly after turning on, usually in 25 to 30 seconds.

Q: How do I fill the water tank, and how much water can it hold?
Remove the water tank, unplug the device, and fill it using the included measuring cup. The tank’s maximum fill line should not be exceeded. Usually, the capacity is 350 millilitres.

Q: What kind of water should I use in the steam mop?
Use demineralised or distilled water for optimal results and to avoid mineral accumulation. Steer clear of tap water that contains a lot of minerals.

Q: How do I know when the mop is ready to use?

The indicator light will indicate that the mop is heating up when the tank has been filled and the device has been turned on. When it’s ready, you can see steam coming out of the nozzle.

Q: How long can I clean on one full tank of water?
Depending on the chosen steam strength and cleaning conditions, a full tank can give 15–20 minutes of continuous steam.

Q: Can I use the mop on carpets or rugs?
Yes, you may clean and sanitise low-pile carpets or rugs with the carpet glider attachment that comes with the AD 7068. Avoid using it on sensitive or unsealed carpet fabrics.
