    Water Treatment

    • Unique ion-exchange fiber. Fully eliminates heavy metals and permanently absorbs harmful impurities.
    • Instant replacement of cartridges. Clean and safe maintenance

CB is a technology of manufacturing filtering media of different degrees of porosity for any level of water contamination. CB significantly increases the service life of replaceable Aquaphor cartridges without compromising the quality of purification.

    STC (Absolute safety)

Materials used in Aquaphor water filters meet “Food Grade” global safety standards. The quality of the materials is checked for compliance with European standards (LGA certificate No. 3061796 of 10.08.2012, Germany)* * for the replacement cartridge Pro HF Patented technologies Aquaphor water filters are manufactured using patented technologies.

The Quality Management System is certified according to ISO 9001. ECO Pro, ECO H Pro water filters are designed for the treatment of chlorine, heavy metals, and organic impurities, as well as for reducing hardness (ECO Н Pro) of drinking tap water that meets the current sanitary standards.

ECO Pro, ECO H Pro water filters

    • Complete antibacterial protection.
    • Effective removal of organic impurities, heavy metals, and chlorine.
    • Easy and simple operation.

    Water Filter Installation

Follow these steps to install the AQUAPHOR OSMO PRO 50 Water Filter System.

    1. For installation, you will need: a drill, a 12 mm drill bit, an adjustable wrench, a screwdriver, and a 14 mm tubular wrench.
    2. Select an appropriate locan appropriateclean water faucet (1), water filter (2), and location for connecting the unit (3) to the water supply (see the figure).
    3. It is recommended to fixate the slack sections of the tubes in such a way as to avoid damaging or connection errors that may reduce the flow rate.
    4. Close the cold water supply and discharge pressure by opening the tap.
    5. Install the connection unit (3) between the cold water supply and the flexible John Guest tube.
    6. Clean water tap installation. Drill a 12 mm hole for the clean water tap in the place selected.
    7. Assemble the decorative support (6) and 2 rubber rings (5, 6, 7) on the tap threaded end piece (1).
    8. Insert the tap end piece (1) into the drilled hole. Put on the plastic washer (8), the metallic (stopping) washer (9), and tighten them with the nut (10).
    9. Put on the tube with a pressed-in brass sleeve (13) the cap nut (12) from the clean water tap set. Connect the tap with the end of the tube with a pressed-in brass sleeve and tighten it with the fastening nut.
    10. Connect the tubes supplied with the water filter according to the “Water filter installation guide”.
    11. Assemble the water filter (2) according to the cartridge installation order (Section CaCartridge Installation ononon”).
    12. Place the water filter on the wall. To do this, use a set of fasteners and a stencil from the top of the box.
    13.  After installing the new filter cartridges, flush the water filter in accordance with the section “Flushing the filter

    Filtration Technology

The AQUAPHOR OSMO PRO 50 Water Filter System uses a hollow fiber membrane — an advanced filtration technology Aquaphor ECO Pro / ECO Н Pro is a household water filter, which uses an innovative water purification technology-microfiltration with a hollow fiber membrane from 0.1 micrometers. Unlike roll-type membranes (for example, reverse osmosis), hollow fiber membranes are tubes with a diameter of about 1 mm with porous walls.

Water is filtered through the walls of these microtubes. The removal of such particles, including colloidal iron particles, makes it possible to obtain water of the highest degree of clarity. Removes microorganisms and bacteria. Polypropylene cartridges or carbon blocks are almost impossible to obtain with a porosity of less than 0.7–0.8 microns. This is not enough to reliably remove the bacteria. The average sizeAQUAPHOR-ECO-PRO-Under-Sink-Water-Filter-fg-1of the bacteria is 0.5–5 microns. Escherichia coli, for example, has a size of 0.3–1 by 1–6 microns, Staphylococcus aureus — a diameter of 0.5–1 microns. Removes Giardia cysts. Giardia cyst is a “cocoon” that is resistant to external factors, including the action of bactericides, and many household water filters are not able to effectively deal with them. The most effective way to control cysts is mechanical filtration with the help of hollow fiber membranes.

    2. The size of the impurity particles retained by the polypropylene prefilter.
    3. The size of the impurity particles retained by the carbon block.

    Pro Cartrigdes

    • Mechanical and sorption filtration
    • Combines mechanical and sorption cleaning in one cartridge.
    • Increased AQUALENTM fiber content allows for enhanced dirt retention and iron removal (Fe2+, Fe3+).
    • Retains particles from 3 microns in size.

    Deep filtration

    • Activated coconut shell carbon and unique ion-exchange
microfiber AQUALENTM effectively filters out active chlorine
      and organochlorine compounds.
    • The AQUALENTM fiber holds heavy metals securely.
    • Carbon block + AQUALENTM technology.
    • Retains particles from 2 microns in size.

    Water softening

    • Prevents scale build-up and iridescent film formation on the water surface. Protects your household’s kitchen appliances.
    • Contains a mix of high-quality ion-exchange resins.

For households looking for advanced water softening options, you can also check out the AQUAPHOR S550 / S550 P1 Water Softener for comprehensive protection against hardness and scale.

Final treatment and protection from bacteria

    • Provides reliable protection against bacteria*.
    • A dense hollow fiber membrane retains microparticles from 0.1 microns.
    • Efficient removal of organic substances, heavy metals, and active chlorine.

    FAQs

Q: What is the AQUAPHOR OSMO PRO 50?

It is a reverse osmosis (RO) water filtering system that eliminates pollutants, heavy metals, chlorine, and other impurities to produce clean, safe, and delicious water for cooking and drinking.

Q: What is the system’s filtration capacity?

Depending on the temperature and water pressure, it often produces up to 50 litres (about 13 gallons) every day.

Q: Can it remove bacteria and viruses?

The RO membrane eliminates the majority of bacteria and viruses, but the system’s main purpose is to purify water of chemical and mineral impurities. Additional disinfection may be required for microbiologically dangerous water.

Q: Does the system require electricity?

No, the AQUAPHOR OSMO PRO 50 uses water pressure alone to force water through the RO membrane without the need for energy.

Q: Can I install it myself?

It is intended to be installed under the washbasin at home. Basic knowledge of plumbing is necessary. Step-by-step instructions are provided in the manual. Installation by a professional is not required.

Q: What water pressure is needed?

The ideal water pressure range for the system is 2–6 bar (30–90 psi). A booster pump can be necessary if the pressure is too low.

Q: Can it handle hard water?

It can filter hard water; however, the membrane’s lifespan may be shortened by really high hardness. In regions with very hard water, pre-treatment or water softening may be advised.
