Safety Instructions

• Do not use this apparatus near water.

FAQs

What devices are compatible with the Beosound Theatre?

TVs, game consoles, Blu-ray players, and streaming devices that support HDMI eARC/ARC can all be connected to the Beosound Theatre. Additionally, it supports built-in Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and Bang & Olufsen’s proprietary Beolink Multiroom technology for wireless audio streaming.

Can I connect the Theatre soundbar to other speakers?

Indeed. A complete surround sound system can be centred around the Beosound Theatre. Up to 16 external Bang & Olufsen speakers, either wired or wireless, can be connected to build a personalised multi-channel home theatre system.

Does the Beosound Theatre support Dolby Atmos?

Indeed. With upward-firing speaker channels, the soundbar produces rich 3D surround sound and supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Digital Plus.

Can I control the soundbar using my TV remote?

Indeed. The majority of TV remote controls can automatically adjust the Beosound Theater’s volume with HDMI-CEC capabilities when connected via HDMI eARC/ARC.

Can I stream music directly without a TV?

Indeed. With built-in Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, or Bluetooth, you can stream straight from your tablet or smartphone.

How does the room calibration feature work?

The built-in microphones on the soundbar are used for room calibration, which examines the acoustics of your space. It compensates for wall reflections and furniture placement by automatically adjusting speaker output for the best possible sound clarity and balance.

Can I wall-mount the Beosound Theatre?

Indeed. The soundbar can be set up on a tabletop or installed on the wall. For optimal stability and cable management, use the official Bang & Olufsen mounting kit.

How do I update the firmware?

The Bang & Olufsen app is used to automatically send firmware upgrades. To get updates that bring new features and enhance performance, keep your soundbar linked to Wi-Fi.
