    FAQs

What is the Dometic P030 Magnetic-Drive Centrifugal Pump used for?

The P030 is a magnetically driven centrifugal pump with great efficiency that is mostly used for coolant or water circulation in industrial, marine, or recreational fluid systems.

What is a “magnetic-drive” pump, and why is it beneficial?

A magnetic-drive pump does not require a shaft seal since it uses a magnetic coupling between the motor and impeller. This design enables low-maintenance operation, minimises wear, and stops leaks.

What type of fluids can the P030 handle?

Freshwater, coolant mixtures, and light industrial fluids are examples of non-flammable, non-corrosive fluids for which the pump is intended. It is not appropriate for use with highly corrosive chemicals, petrol, or diesel.

    Can the P030 run dry?

No, the pump does not prime itself, and it should never be left dry since this can harm the internal parts and impeller.

    Is the pump submersible?

It is not true that the P030 is a submersible pump. It needs to have inlet/outlet ports to connect to fluid lines and be placed in a dry, well-ventilated environment.

What is the recommended power source?

Depending on the model, the P030 can run on either DC or AC power. Before installing, check your user handbook for the voltage and current requirements.

How should the pump be mounted?

In order to encourage gravity-assisted priming and flow, it should be positioned horizontally on a sturdy surface, preferably below the fluid level.

Does the pump require regular maintenance?

It needs very little upkeep. Check for obstructions, mineral accumulation, and tighten fittings on a regular basis. The magnetic drive technology lessens bearing and seal wear.
