    Names of Components

    Use

    • The freezing speed of the product is related to the amount and temperature of the contents stored in the freezer.
    • The thermostat should be adjusted to maximum gear 24 hours before placing room temperature contents into the freezer.
    • If contents are added to the freezer at room temperature, prepare ice for cold storage.
    • The large food should be divided into small pieces for better freezing.

    Temperature Control

    Placement

    • Before using the freezer, remove all packaging material, including bottom cushions, foam pads, and tape inside, and tear off the protective film on the door and the freezer body.
    • Keep away from heat and avoid direct sunlight. Do not place the freezer in moist or watery places to prevent rust or reduction of insulation.
    • Please leave at least 70 cm of space above the freezer, and 20 cm from both sides and the backside to facilitate heat dissipation.

    Start to Use

    • The freezer must stand for half an hour before connecting power when it is first started.

    • Please turn off the power before cleaning the interior, and remove all food, shelves, drawers, etc.
    • Do not use soap, detergent, scrub powder, spray cleaner, etc., as these may cause odors in the interior of the freezer or contaminate food.
    • Wipe the outer surface of the freezer with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water, detergent, etc., and then wipe dry.

    Defrost

    • Manually defrost the freezer. Disconnect the plug from the wall socket, open the door, and remove all contents and shelving baskets before defrosting.
    • Open the outflow hole and drainage hole (and place a water container at the outflow hole).
    • Then wipe away the remaining ice and water, and plug in the freezer.

    Power failure

    FAQs

Q: What is the storage capacity of the Honeywell H35CFW Chest Freezer?
Ans: With its 3.5 cubic feet of storage capacity, the H35CFW is ideal for modest homes, apartments, or as extra freezer space for frozen and bulk items.

Q: How is this chest freezer different from an upright freezer?
Ans: Chest freezers open from the top and often offer more energy efficiency and temperature stability than upright freezers. Larger or bulkier goods can be stored deep thanks to the H35CFW’s design.

Q: Is the freezer manual defrost or frost-free?
Ans: The Honeywell H35CFW is a chest freezer that defrosts manually. Periodically defrosting will be necessary to get rid of ice accumulation and keep your cooling system operating efficiently.

Q: How often should I defrost the freezer?
Ans: Depending on usage and humidity, defrost the freezer every three to six months or whenever you see ice accumulation thicker than ¼ inch.

Q: What is the recommended temperature setting for the freezer?
Ans: For the best food preservation, set the thermostat dial to keep the temperature at or near 0°F (-18°C). To regulate the cooling strength, turn the thermostat knob.

Q: Does the freezer have a temperature control?
Ans: Indeed, there is a manual thermostat control dial on the front of the freezer that makes temperature adjustments simple.
