    IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:

    1. Read all Instructions.
    2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
    3. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or waffle maker in water or other liquids.
    4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
    5. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the waffle maker.
    6. Do not operate the waffle maker with a damaged cord or plug, or after the waffle maker malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the waffle maker to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
    7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the waffle maker’s manufacturer may cause injuries, fire, or electric shock.
    8. Do not use outdoors.
    9. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
    10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
    11. Do not use the waffle maker for anything other than its intended use.
    12. Make sure that your household voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on your waffle maker’s rating label.
    13. Allow your waffle maker to cool completely before moving it.
    14. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

    USING YOUR WAFFLE MAKER

    2. Open the lid, then pour the waffle batter until it just covers the raised squares on the bottom plate.
    3. Close the lid and latch the handle lock. The light turns on. The waffle cooks for approximately two to four minutes. When your waffle Insignia NB-WAFF15 Waffle Maker is done cooking, the light turns off again.
    4. Unlatch the handle lock and use the handle to open the lid, then use a plastic spatula to remove the contents. Never use metal tongs or a knife because these can damage the non-stick coating on the cooking plates.
    5. Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet and leave your waffle maker open to cool.

    TO STORE YOUR WAFFLE MAKER

    1. Unplug your waffle maker.
    2. Make sure that your waffle maker is cool.
    3. Clean and dry the cooking plates and exterior, if necessary.

    5. Wrap the power cord around the cord wrap bracket on the base of your waffle maker.
    6. Use the handle to move the waffle maker.
Note: The waffle maker can be stored upright.

    MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

    • Do not disassemble your waffle maker for cleaning.
    • Never immerse your waffle maker in water or place it in a dishwasher.
    • Do not use anything abrasive (such as metal scouring pads or steel wool) that can scratch or damage the non-stick coating or exterior finish.
    • Do not use metal utensils to remove food residue because they can damage the non-stick surface.

    To clean your waffle maker

    1. Unplug your waffle maker and let it cool before cleaning. The cooking plates are easier to clean when they are slightly warm.Insignia-NB-WAFF15-Waffle-Maker-figure-2

    FAQs

What type of waffles can I make with the NB-WAFF15?

Classic round waffles with deep pockets that are ideal for toppings, fruit, or syrup are produced by the waffle maker.

What is the power rating of the waffle maker?

The NB-WAFF15 produces consistent waffle results by cooking food quickly and evenly at 700–900W.

    Does it have non-stick plates?

Indeed, the cooking plates are non-stick, which makes cleaning and waffle removal a breeze.

Can I make multiple waffles at once?

No, this machine is only meant to make one waffle at a time. Before preparing another, wait for it to reheat.

    Is there an automatic shut-off?

No, the NB-WAFF15 does not shut down on its own. To be safe, unplug it after using it.

How long does it take to cook a waffle?

Depending on the level of crispiness you want, waffles typically take 4–6 minutes to cook.

Can I open the waffle maker while cooking?

Yes, although the shape and texture can change if you open the lid in the middle of cooking. Check just close to the conclusion of cooking.

Is the waffle maker safe for children?

Yes, under supervision. Although the exterior and handle are made to remain cooler than the cooking plates, hot surfaces should be handled carefully.
