FAQs
What is the Insignia NS-CAHBTAD Bluetooth Receiver used for?
You may play music wirelessly from your computer, tablet, or smartphone by adding Bluetooth streaming capability to non-Bluetooth devices, like wired headphones, automotive audio systems, or home stereos, with the Insignia NS-CAHBTAD.
Can I use it in my car?
Indeed! Using the supplied 3.5mm cable, connect the receiver to your car’s AUX input. Then, power it using a USB port or a 12V USB converter. The speakers in your car can then be used to stream music and make hands-free phone calls.
Does it support both transmitting and receiving Bluetooth signals?
No, the NS-CAHBTAD is not a transmitter; it is merely a Bluetooth receiver. It is unable to send audio to Bluetooth speakers or headphones, but it can receive music from Bluetooth-enabled devices.
How long does the battery last?
The internal rechargeable battery can play music for up to eight hours when fully charged. Depending on usage and volume level, actual performance may change.
How do I charge the receiver?
The LED will glow red while it charges and turn off when it is fully charged. To charge, use the accompanying micro-USB charging cable and plug it into a USB power source, such as a computer, USB wall adapter, or car charger.
Can I pair it with more than one device at the same time?
Although it can only connect to one device at a time, the NS-CAHBTAD can remember up to two linked devices. Disconnect the old device and manually attach the new one to make the changeover.
Does it support high-quality audio codecs like aptX?
Yes, the NS-CAHBTAD supports SBC and aptX codecs for better sound quality and lower latency, depending on your phone or Bluetooth source device.
How far is the Bluetooth range?
In an open area, the wireless range of the receiver is up to 33 feet (10 meters). This range can be decreased by metal surfaces, walls, and other devices’ interference.
