SAFETY INFORMATION
- To prevent possible hearing damage, avoid listening at high volume levels for extended periods. Also, refrain from using headphones while driving, cycling, or in any situation where you should be able to hear other sounds.
- As a guide to setting the volume level, check that you can
still hear your voice when speaking normally, while
listening with the headphones.
SETTING UP YOUR HEADSET
- Insert the Stereo headset’s 3.5mm audio plug into the PS4/PS5 controller audio output jack.
- Navigate to Settings>> Devices>>Audio Devices.
- Set the Input & Output devices to the headset connected to the controller.
- Set Output to headphones to All Audio.
- Select Adjust microphone level and follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your microphone.
WARNING:
Extended exposure to high volumes when using your headset may result in permanent hearing loss.
MIC MUTE
- Mic Boom up to mute.
- Mic Boom down to unmute.
NOTE: For optimal microphone performance, make sure to adjust the microphone sensitivity in the audio settings of your gaming console. This should be checked each time you play as di erent games, di erent controllers, and di erent consoles all impact microphone performance. It may also help to unplug
The headset cable and plug back into the controller.
ADJUST VOLUME
Turn the volume dial on the ear cup to the preferred audio level.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you encounter problems, try the solutions below:
No sound from your headset.
- Check that the 3.5mm plug is securely connected to the controller audio output jack.
- Check your audio settings to ensure your headset is selected as the assigned audio device.
- Check that the volume dial is not turned to minimum.
Your Mic is not transmitting sound.
- Check your audio settings to ensure your headset is selected as the assigned audio device.
- Move the mic down from the vertical (mute) position
- Move your microphone closer to your mouth.

What devices can I use with the NS-PSGH Gaming Headset?
The majority of gaming consoles, PCs, laptops, and mobile devices with a 3.5 mm audio connector are compatible with the Insignia NS-PSGH headset. It works with normal PC audio ports as well as PlayStation®, Xbox®, and Nintendo SwitchTM.
Does the headset need to be charged?
No. As a wired stereo headset, the NS-PSGH doesn’t need to be charged. It gets its electricity straight from the device you’re linked to.
Can I detach the microphone?
Indeed. For easy storage or when you’re just using the headset to watch videos or listen to music, the flexible boom microphone can be removed.
How do I know if the microphone is muted?
Examine the inline control’s mute switch. Depending on the version, you can get a red signal while muted. When you wish to talk, flip the button back to unmute.
