    Safety Instructions

    1. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
    2. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or waffle maker in water or other liquids.
    3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
    4. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
    5. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the waffle maker.
    6. Do not operate the waffle maker with a damaged cord or plug, or after the waffle maker malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
    7. Return the waffle maker to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, air, or adjustment.
    8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the waffle maker’s manufacturer may cause injuries, fire, or electric shock.
    9. Do not use outdoors.
    10. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
    11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
    12. Do not use the waffle maker for anything other than its intended use.
    13. Make sure that your household voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on your waffle maker’s rating label.

    Before Use

    1. Remove all packaging materials.
    2. Wipe the cooking plates with a sponge or cloth dampened in warm water.
    3. Dry the plates with a cloth or paper towel.

    Use

    1. Close your waffle maker and plug it into a power outlet.
    2. The power light turns on. Preheating takes approximately two to four minutes.
    3. When your waffle maker is preheated, the power light turns off.
    4. Open the lid, then pour the waffle batter until it just covers the raised squares on the bottom plate.
    5. Close the lid and latch the handle lock.
    6. The light turns on. The waffle cooks for approximately two to four minutes.
    7. When your waffle is done cooking, the light turns off again.
    8. Unlatch the handle lock and use the handle to open the lid, then use a plastic spatula to remove the contents.
    9. Never use metal tongs or a knife because these can damage the non-stick coating on the cooking plates.
    10. Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet and leave your waffle maker open to cool.

    Maintainance & Cleaning

    • Do not disassemble your waffle maker for cleaning.
    • Never immerse your waffle maker in water or place it in a dishwasher.
    • Do not use anything abrasive (such as metal scouring pads or steel wool) that can scratch or damage the non-stick coating or exterior finish.
    • Do not use metal utensils to remove food residue because they can damage the non-stick surface.

    To clean your waffle maker

    1. Unplug your waffle maker and let it cool before cleaning. The cooking plates are easier to clean when they are slightly warm.
    2. Wipe the cooking plates with a soft, damp cloth or sponge to remove food residue.
    3. For baked-on food residue, squeeze some warm water mixed with detergent over the food residue or place a wet paper towel over the residue to soften it.
    4. Remove the residue with a non-abrasive, plastic scouring pad, then wipe the cooking plates with a soft, damp cloth or sponge.
    5. If necessary, wipe the outside of your waffle maker with a damp cloth.

    Storage

    1. Unplug your waffle maker.
    2. Make sure that your waffle maker is cool.
    3. Clean and dry the cooking plates and exterior, if necessary.
    4. Close the lid and lock it into place.
    5. Wrap the power cord around the cord wrap bracket on the base of your waffle maker.
    6. Use the handle to move the waffle maker.
