FAQs
Q: What is the primary purpose of the M620 dash cam?
In addition to recording super high resolution (4K) video from the front of the car (and a matching rear channel), the M620 dash camera system offers WiFi connectivity and GPS tagging for convenient access, playback, and sharing.
Q: What video resolution does the front camera support?
The front camera can record at suitable frame rates in native 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution.
Q: Do I need a special memory card?
Indeed. The handbook advises using a microSD card with a minimum size of 16 GB and a speed rating of class 10 or higher (supported up to 256 GB).
Q: How do I start and stop recording?
When the memory card is inserted and the system is ready, the M620 will automatically begin recording after being powered on (usually by hooking into the car’s 12 V outlet using the included cable).
Q: Does the M620 have parking mode or impact detection?
Yes, it has a G sensor (impact/collision detector) that, upon detecting an unusual impact, will automatically lock a recording. If you are looking for a compact alternative, you might also consider the Papago N268 Mini Front 4K Dash Cam, which provides high-resolution front recording in a smaller form factor.
Q: Can I use this dash cam in low‑light or at night?
Yes, the device is optimised for normal driving lighting and provides high-resolution recording. Results can vary, though, as visibility is still dependent on the vehicle’s surroundings and external lighting.
Q: Why does the unit overwrite old videos?
This camera uses loop recording, which overwrites the oldest files with new footage when the card is full. Videos that are locked—either manually or using a G sensor—are shielded from being overwritten.
