    FAQs

Q: Are the OUTDRWW1 speakers weatherproof?

Indeed. These speakers are made to be used outside and are resistant to UV rays, rain, and humidity. They can withstand normal garden, patio, or backyard conditions, but they shouldn’t be submerged in water.

Q: Can I install the speakers in-ground or on walls?

Indeed. Mounting brackets for wall or post installation are included with the OUTDRWW1. Custom brackets or extra stakes could be needed for ground mounting.

Q: Do I need a separate amplifier to use these speakers?

Indeed. Since the OUTDRWW1 are passive speakers, they must be driven by a suitable amplifier or Sonos amplifier channel, such as a Sonos Amp.

Q: What is the recommended wiring for these speakers?

Depending on the distance from the amplifier, use outdoor-rated speaker wire, usually 16–14 gauge. To reduce signal loss, keep cable lines as short as feasible.

Q: Can I use these speakers indoors?

Yes. Although designed for outdoor durability, they function just like indoor speakers and can be used in any room.

Q: What is the frequency response of the OUTDRWW1?

Optimised for outdoor settings, the speakers are designed for clean midrange and treble with balanced bass. The technical section of the handbook has exact frequency requirements.

Q: How many speakers can I connect to a single amplifier?

It depends on the amplifier’s output and speaker impedance. Ensure the total load does not drop below the amplifier’s minimum impedance. Consult the manual for safe parallel/series wiring options.

Q: Are the speakers compatible with Sonos wireless systems?

Yes, but only in conjunction with a Sonos amplifier or other Sonos device that can power passive speakers. There is no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi on the OUTDRWW1 itself.
