    FAQs

Q: What kind of projector is the VPL-PHZ10?

The BrightEra 3LCD engine and Sony’s “Z-Phosphor” laser light source are used in the VPL-PHZ10, a 3LCD installation-class projector that offers long-term dependability, great brightness, and stable colour.

Q: What’s the native resolution and aspect ratio?

WUXGA (1920 × 1200) with a 16:10 aspect ratio is the native resolution.

Q: How bright is the projector — will it work even in rooms with ambient light?

Yes, it can produce up to 5,000 ANSI lumens (colour and white), which makes it appropriate for meeting rooms, conference halls, classrooms, and well-lit spaces.

Q: What kind of light source does it use — lamp or laser?

Instead of using a conventional bulb, it uses a laser diode (Z-Phosphor laser light source), which has benefits in terms of longevity, reliability, and upkeep.

Q: How long will the light source last?

Compared to other lamp-based projectors, the projector has a rating of up to 20,000 hours of operation (in regular “Middle” mode).

Q: Is there maintenance required (e.g. filter cleaning)?

It requires less upkeep because it has an automated filter cleaning system that minimises dust accumulation and keeps the device operating dependably without the need for frequent manual filter cleaning.

Q: What screen sizes and throw distances does it support?

Depending on throw distance and magnification, the VPL-PHZ10 can accommodate a wide range, from roughly 40 inches to 300 inches diagonal (≈ 1.02 m to 7.62 m), making it suitable for both small and large spaces.

Q: What is its throw ratio/zoom/lens shift flexibility?

The range of the throw ratio is from 1.28:1 to 1.88:1. It features manual focus, manual zoom (1.45×), and lens-shift (horizontal ±10%, vertical shift from +20% to +55%).
