First Time Pairing
Turn on your Bluetooth audio device. Turn on the speaker and press the Mode / Light button until Bluetooth mode is selected. The speaker will go into pairing mode, and the message BT will flash quickly on the LED display. Select ‘MIXX xBoost MAX’ from the audio device list to pair with the speaker. You will hear ‘Connected’ from the speaker, confirming that you are ready to play music!
Note: If your Bluetooth audio device is not able to connect to the speaker, check whether it has already connected to another device. Disconnect it and enter pairing mode by pressing and holding the Play / Pause / FM scan button.
Playing music from a USB Memory Stick
Ensure your USB Memory stick is formatted using a computer and your MP3 files are saved to the root folder on the USB stick. Turn on the speaker and insert your USB stick into the USB audio port. The input will automatically switch to USB, and music will start to play. You can control the music playback using the Play / Pause and the Track buttons &.
Playing music from a Micro SD card
Turn on the speaker and insert your Micro SD card into the Micro SD card port. Ensure your Micro SD card is the right way – do not force it into the slot – you may need to turn it over to insert it. The input will automatically switch to TF mode, and music will start to play. You can control the music playback using the Play / Pause and the Track buttons &.
Play / Pause
Press the Play / Pause button to play music from a Bluetooth or a connected storage device (USB stick / Micro SD card). Press the Play / Pause button to pause music that is already playing.
Skip / Previous Track
Press the Skip Track button to skip to the next track. Short-press the Previous Track button to skip back to the beginning of the current track, and short-press again to skip to the previous track.
FM Radio
Turn on the speaker and press the Mode / Light button until FM mode is selected. When using the FM radio for the first time in a new location, press the Play / Pause / FM Scan button to scan for FM radio stations and store them in memory locations. Use the Track / FM tune buttons & to select a radio station to listen to from those stored during the radio station scan.
Using the Microphone Input
Plug the microphone (not included) directly into the Microphone input jack to sing your heart out or to Karaoke. Adjust the Microphone volume or use the Microphone echo effect to boost the sound effects.
Controlling the Lights
Press and hold the Mode / Light button to turn the lights on / off
Let’s Go Wired
The speaker can be used with devices that have a 3.5mm audio socket. A 3.5mm audio cable provides the flexibility to convert this speaker from wireless to wired use. Convenient if there is no Bluetooth connection. Insert the 3.5mm audio cable (sold separately) into the 3.5mm AUX input and the other end into your device’s 3.5mm port, and select the AUX mode using the Mode / Light button to start listening to your music.
Let’s Stay Charged
When the Charge Status LED illuminates RED, it is time to charge your speaker. Using the USB cable provided, plug the speaker into a 5V USB Mixx Audio xBoost Max 100 wall charger. It is recommended to use a wall charger capable of 2A / 10W power output to ensure optimum charging rate.
Important! – Do not use a wall charger with a higher output voltage than 5V, as this may cause damage to the speaker. Once charging has completed, the Charge Status LED will turn off.
