FAQs
What is the CableCreation 5-in-1 USB-C Hub?
A small, plug-and-play multiport adaptor, the CableCreation 5-in-1 USB-C Hub converts a single USB-C port into several necessary connectors, making it perfect for USB-C laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Can I use all five ports at the same time?
Yes, as long as your host device supports it, the hub can be used to use all of its ports at once, including those for data transfer and video output.
Can I use it with my smartphone or tablet?
Yes, the hub will function for video, file transmission, and accessory use if your phone or tablet has USB-C video output (such as the Samsung DeX or iPad Pro).
Can I use the hub to extend displays on macOS?
By default, macOS allows display mirroring. Unless you’re using an M1 Pro, M1 Max, M2, or later processor that supports extended displays, you might need a third-party app to extend your desktop (have distinct content on each screen).
What’s the data transfer speed of the USB-A ports?
Fast file transfers and attaching peripherals like keyboards, mice, and flash drives are made possible by the USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) connectors, which have a maximum speed of 5 Gbps.
Can I use SD and TF card slots at the same time?
The ability to use the SD and microSD (TF) card readers simultaneously makes this hub ideal for content creators and photographers.
Does this hub support USB-C power delivery (PD)?
PD charging is not a feature of every 5-in-1 hub. Examine your model. You can use USB-C pass-through to charge your device if PD is enabled (up to 60W or 100W, model depending).
