Introduction
This Type-C docking offers an integrated solution for power, data, and video. It allows you to connect a Type-C host PC to VGA, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort displays for video transmission, and to USB-A devices for data transmission. It also helps the host PC to get access to Ethernet through the RJ45 port. FAQs
What is the CableCreation USB-C to HDMI cable used for?
This connection is ideal for video mirroring, expanded displays, and high definition streaming since it enables you to connect a USB-C-equipped device (such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet) to an HDMI display, such as a monitor, TV, or projector.
Is this a plug-and-play device?
Indeed! There is no need to install any software or drivers. It works instantaneously on most systems if you simply put the HDMI end into your monitor and the USB-C end into your device.
Can I use this cable with my phone or tablet?
Yes, provided that your tablet or phone is compatible with DeX (Samsung) or DP Alt Mode. Check the specifications of your device because not all Android phones allow video out over USB-C.
Is it compatible with the Nintendo Switch?
No, normal USB-C to HDMI cables cannot be used to broadcast video from the Nintendo Switch. It needs a compatible converter or its own dock.
Can I use it for dual monitors or screen extension?
Mirroring and a single external display output are supported by this wire. You’ll need a hub with multiple display outputs or a docking station if you want two displays.
Will audio transmit through the cable as well?
Indeed. If your device supports audio over USB-C, then both audio and video are sent via the HDMI interface.
Why is my 4K resolution limited to 30Hz?
HDMI 1.4, which reaches its maximum at 4K@30Hz, is supported by the cable. Look for HDMI 2.0 or higher versions for more fluid 4K@60Hz performance.
Can I charge my device while using this cable?
No. This wire is just for video. Power Delivery (PD) is not supported by it. A USB-C hub with HDMI and PD passthrough can be used to charge and display at the same time.
