Batteries/Button Cells
The Hama 00004676 Bluetooth® Remote Shutter uses a button cell battery, so please observe the following safety notes:
- If the battery compartment will no longer close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
- This product contains button cells. If the button cell is swallowed, serious internal burns can occur within 2 hours and ultimately lead to death.
- If you suspect that a button cell has been swallowed or is in any part of the body, seek medical attention immediately.
- Keep new and used button cells out of the reach of children.
System Requirements
To use the Hama 00004676 Bluetooth® Remote Shutter, your device must support Bluetooth® and meet the following system requirements:
- The Bluetooth® remote-control release supports Bluetooth®-enabled devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs on which the iOS 6 or Android 4.2.2 operating systems or newer versions are installed.
- Please be aware that your device must support the Bluetooth® remote-control release if they are to be used. Please refer to the operating instructions of your device for more information.
Setup
- Slide the lock in the direction of the arrow and pull the battery compartment downwards and outwards at the same time (B1)
- Insert a CR1632 battery with the correct polarity (B2)
- Close the battery compartment by pushing it into the Bluetooth remote-control release until the latch engages.
Operation
- The functions described in this section are only possible with Bluetooth®-enabled devices.
- Please note that the range of Bluetooth® is max. 10 metres, without obstacles such as walls, people, etc.
Bluetooth® Pairing
To pair the Hama 00004676 Bluetooth® Remote Shutter, follow the steps below:
- Ensure that the Bluetooth®-enabled device is switched on and that the Bluetooth® function is activated.
- Make sure that your Bluetooth®-enabled device is visible to other Bluetooth® devices.
- Please refer to the operating instructions of your device for more information.
- Slide the On/Off switch (2) to the ON position to switch on the Bluetooth® remote control release.
- The pilot light (1) starts to flash blue.
- The Bluetooth® remote-control release searches for a Bluetooth® connection.
- Open the Bluetooth® settings on your device and wait until the list of found Bluetooth® devices shows hama BRS5.
- Select hama BRS5 and wait until the Bluetooth® remote-control release is shown as connected in your device’s Bluetooth® settings. The pilot light (1) goes out.
- You can now use the Bluetooth® remote-control release.
Automatic Bluetooth® Connection
The Hama 00004676 Bluetooth® Remote Shutter supports automatic reconnection with previously paired devices. Follow the steps below:
- Ensure that the Bluetooth®-enabled device is switched on and that the Bluetooth® function is activated.
- Make sure that your Bluetooth®-enabled device is visible to other Bluetooth® devices.
- Please refer to the operating instructions of your device for more information.
- The Bluetooth® remote-control release remains connected to the Bluetooth® device it was last used with.
- Slide the On/Off switch (2) to the ON position to switch on the Bluetooth® remote control release.
- The pilot light (1) starts to flash blue.
- After 1-5 seconds, the Bluetooth® remote-control release automatically pairs with the device. The pilot light (1) goes out.
- You can now use the Bluetooth® remote-control release.
Connection Impaired
- In your device’s Bluetooth® settings, check that hama BRS5 is connected. If not, repeat the steps described in 6.1. Bluetooth® initial connection.
- Check whether obstacles are impairing the range. If so, move the devices closer together.
- The performance may also be impaired if the battery is low. Change the battery if necessary.
Care and Maintenance
Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners. Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
