SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Read all warnings, safety instructions and other instructions carefully before use. Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can result in the risk of electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury
WORK AREA
- Keep the work area clean and well lit. Dark and cluttered work areas increase the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Do not use power tools in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gas or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust and fumes.
- Keep children and onlookers at a safe distance when using power tools. You can easily lose control of the tool if you are distracted.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
- The plug on the power tool must match the power point. Never modify the plug in any way. Never use an adapter with earthed power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching power points reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or moisture. There is a greater risk of electric shock if water gets into a power tool.
- Be careful with the power cord. Never use the power cord to carry or pull the tool, o to pull out the plug from the power point. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged or tangled power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- If the tool is used outdoors, only use an extension cord approved for outdoor use. Cords intended for outdoor use reduce the risk of electric shock.
- If it is absolutely necessary to use power tools in damp conditions, use a power point protected by a residual curren device. Using an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
- Stay alert. Pay attention to what you are doing, and use your common sense when working with power tools. Never use power tools if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention when using a power tool can result in serious personal injury.
- Use personal safety equipment. Wear safety glasses.
- Never saw in asbestos.
- Dust from oak, ash and other types of wood can be carcinogenic. Use a dust mask and ensure there is adequate ventilation.
- Avoid accidental starting. Check that the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the power cord and/or the battery, or lifting/carrying the tool. Carrying a power tool with your finger on the switch, or connecting a tool to the mains supply when the switch is in the ON position, increases the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Remove adjuster keys/spanners etc. before starting the tool.
- The use of such devices can reduce the risk of dust-related problems.
SERVICE
The power tool must only be serviced by qualified personnel using identical spare parts. This will ensure that the power tool remains safe to use.
BOTTOM GUARD
- Check that the bottom guard is closed before use. Do not use the saw if the guard does not move freely and immediately closes around the blade. Never lock or block the guard in the open position. If you accidently drop the saw this could bend the guard. Lift up the bottom guard with the handle and check that it moves freely in all sawing depths and angles, and does not touch the blade or any other part.
- Check that the spring on the bottom guard works.
- The bottom guard functions automatically for all other types of sawing.
- Always check that the bottom guard covers the blade before placing the saw on the bench or floor. An unprotected and freely rotating blade can cause the saw to move backwards, and cut everything in its path. Remember that the blade continues to rotate for a few seconds after releasing the power switch.

USE
Switch off the product, pull out the plug, and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before adjusting, maintenance and/or replacing accessories
ADJUSTING THE SAWING DEPTH
- Release the lock knob for depth adjustment (11).
- Adjust the base plate (6) to the required sawing depth.
- Tighten the lock knob for depth adjustment (11). For best results the blade should reach about 3 mm below the workpiece.
ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
The sawing angle can be set from 0° to 45°.
- Release the knob to adjust the angle (3).
- Set the required bevel angle by tilting the base plate (6) and aligning the marking to the required angle on the scale.
- Tighten the knob lock to set the angle (3)
ADJUSTING THE BASE PLATE TO 90°
- Adjust the bevel angle to 0°.
- Bring back the blade guard with the lever (7) and place the product with the blade down.
- Release the knob to adjust the angle (3).
- Place a set square between the base plate and the blade and adjust the angle to 90°.
CHANGING THE BLADE
- Switch off the product and pull out the plug before removing/fitting the blade.
- To remove the blade (5), press in the spindle lock button so that the blade cannot rotate. Undo the hex screw (17)anticlockwise with the hex key (18). Remove the hex screw (17), washers (16) and (15) and the blade (5).
- Fit the blade (5) by following the above instructions in the reverse order. Check that the arrow for the direction of rotation on the blade points in the same direction as the arrow on the blade guard. Tighten the hex screw (17) firmly
FITTING AND ADJUSTING THE PARALLEL FENCE
The parallel fence (12) is used to saw parallel with the edge of the workpiece.
Fitting
- Undo the lock screw (3) so that the parallel fence can be moved in.
- Move the parallel fence (12) in the base plate (6).
- Tighten the lock screw (3).
Adjusting
- Undo the lock screw (3) and adjust the parallel fence (12) to the required width.
- Tighten the lock screw (3).
HOW TO USE
- Always follow the safety instructions.
- Make sure that the material to be sawn is firmly secured.
- Do not press the product too hard against the workpiece, or exert pressure on the blade to the side.
- Do not overload the product.
- Do not use worn or damaged blades.
- Do not use the product for plunge sawing.
Before use
- Check that all the guards and safety devices are correctly fitted and in good working order. The blade guard should be in closed position.
- Check that the blade rotates in the direction shown by the arrow on the casing.
Switching on/of
The power switch (8) has a power switch lock (9).
- Press the power switch lock to release the
power switch. - Start the product by pressing the power switch (8). When the power switch is released the power switch lock is activated automatically to prevent accidental starting
