FAQs
How do I safely fill the torch with fuel?
After removing the wick assembly, carefully replace the wick holder after adding gasoline to the reservoir until the maximum fill line is reached. Before lighting, clean up any fuel that has leaked.
How long does one full tank of fuel typically burn?
The torch can burn continuously for four to six hours per fill, depending on the fuel type and wick size.
How do I light the bamboo torch?
Light the wick with a match or a long lighter. Hold the flame at the tip of the wick until it ignites, then make any required adjustments.
Can the torch be used indoors?
No, because of the open flames and smoke, bamboo torches are only meant to be used outside. Use them outdoors where there is adequate ventilation.
How do I extinguish the flame safely?
Blot out the flame gently or use the snuffer cap that comes with it. Never extinguish with water as this could result in damage or gasoline splashing.
How do I maintain the wick for optimal performance?
To maintain a constant flame and avoid too much smoke, trim the wick to around ¼ inch on a regular basis. When the wick gets too short or burnt, replace it.
