FAQs
Q: How do I adjust the 24-hour sub-dial?
Ans: When you set the time, the 24-hour sub-dial automatically adjusts and is synchronised with the main hour hand. It cannot be adjusted on its own.
Q: What type of battery does the FS10/FS11/FS13 use?
Ans: The SR920SW (or 371) silver oxide battery that these movements normally use has an expected lifespan of two to three years, depending on how often the chronograph is used.
Q: Does the chronograph count hours?
Ans: No, the chronograph usually records these movements for up to 60 minutes. An hour counter for longer timing is not included.
Q: How accurate is the Miyota FS series movement?
Ans: With an average accuracy of ±20 seconds per month at room temperature, these quartz movements are incredibly dependable.
Q: Can I use the chronograph continuously without harming the movement?
Ans: Although leaving the chronograph running is safe, doing so could reduce battery life. When not in use, stop and reset the chronograph for maximum power efficiency.
Q: Are these movements suitable for sports watches or dress watches?
Ans: Indeed. The small profile and adaptable dial design of the FS10, FS11, and FS13 make them popular in both sport-inspired timepieces and fashion chronographs.
Q: Is the Miyota FS movement shock-resistant or water-resistant?
Ans: The architecture of the watch case determines whether the movement is water-resistant or not. For daily usage, the movement is made with a respectable amount of shock resistance.
