Operation
Straight Cutting
- Place the cutting wheel on the rear edge of the tile.
Slide the wheel forward by pushing the handle down with medium pressure. Scoring the tile surface glaze as the handle is pushed forward. It is important to make one continuous motion, scoring the surface only once per time.
After scoring and without moving the tile position, the breaker is slightly in the front edge of the tile and the front stop. Apply increasing pressure on the handle until the tile snaps along the score line.
After scoring, it is better to pull back the handle to let the breaker slightly backtrack 5-10m; it’s the best position to break the tile.

FAQs
Q: What is the Vevor 8103E-2/17 Tile Cutter designed for?
A manual precision tile cutter designed for porcelain, ceramic, and glazed tiles is the Vevor 8103E-2/17. Professional tilers, contractors, and home renovators who require precise, chip-free cuts without the use of electricity or water will find it ideal.
Q: What is the cutting capacity of this model?
This makes it possible to handle large-format floor tiles and tiny mosaic tiles with ease.
Q: Does it need electricity or water?
No, the Vevor 8103E-2/17 is a tile cutter that operates manually; it doesn’t need electricity, cables, or water cooling.
Q: Can it cut tiles at an angle?
Indeed. This makes it ideal for tile fitting around fixtures or for decorative arrangements.
Q: What kind of cutting wheel does it use?
It has a cutting wheel made of ultra-hard, corrosion-resistant tungsten carbide.
Q: Can I use it for cutting thin decorative or mosaic tiles?
Yes, but always install thin or small tiles on a flat backing board. This guarantees uniform pressure during breaking and stops cracking.
Q: What should I do if the handle feels stiff or the cutter slides roughly?
After giving the guide rails a thorough cleaning, lightly lubricate them. Look for bent rails or dirt accumulation close to the bearings if the stiffness persists.
Q: Can I adjust the cutting depth or wheel pressure?
Your hand movements regulate the pressure, so there’s no need for manual depth control. When scoring, make sure the wheel touches the entire surface without applying too much pressure.
