Safety Instructions

Bottom Guard
- Check that the bottom guard is closed before use.
- Do not use the saw if the guard does not move freely and immediately closes around the blade.
- Never lock or block the guard in the open position.
- If you accidentally drop the saw, this could bend the guard.
- Check that the spring on the bottom guard works.
- The bottom guard functions automatically for all other types of sawing.
- Always check that the bottom guard covers the blade before placing the saw on the bench or floor.
- Remember that the blade continues to rotate for a few seconds after releasing the power switch.

Using the Device
Switch off the product, pull out the plug, and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before adjusting, maintaining and/or replacing accessories
Adjusting the Saw Depth
- Release the lock knob for depth adjustment (11).
- Adjust the base plate (6) to the required sawing Meec Tools 024001 Curiculum Saw depth.
- Tighten the lock knob for depth adjustment (11).
- For best results, the blade should reach about 3 mm below the workpiece.
Angle Adjustment
The sawing angle can be set from 0° to 45°.
- Release the knob to adjust the angle (3).
- Tighten the knob lock to set the angle (3)
- Adjust the bevel angle to 0°.
- Bring back the blade guard with the lever (7) and place the product with the blade down.
- Release the knob to adjust the angle (3).
- Place a set square between the base plate and the blade and adjust the angle to 90°.
Changing the Blade
- Switch off the product and pull out the plug before removing/fitting the blade.
- To remove the blade (5), press in the spindle lock button so that the blade cannot rotate.
- Undo the hex screw (17)anticlockwise with the hex key (18).
- Remove the hex screw (17), washers (16) and (15) and the blade (5).
- Check that the arrow for the direction of rotation on the blade points in the same direction as the arrow on the blade guard. Tighten the hex screw (17) firmly
Parallel Fence
The parallel fence (12) is used to saw parallel with the edge of the workpiece.
Fitting
- Undo the lock screw (3) so that the parallel fence can be moved in.
- Move the parallel fence (12) in the base plate (6).
- Tighten the lock screw (3).
Adjusting
- Undo the lock screw (3) and adjust the parallel fence (12) to the required width.
- Tighten the lock screw (3).
How to Use
- Always follow the safety instructions.
- Make sure that the material to be sawn is firmly secured.
- Do not overload the product.
- Do not use worn or damaged blades.
- Do not use the product for plunge sawing.
Before Use
- Check that all the guards and safety devices are correctly fitted and in good working order.
- The blade guard should be in the closed position.
- Check that the blade rotates in the direction shown by the arrow on the casing.
Switching on/off
The power switch (8) has a power switch lock (9).
- Press the power switch lock to release the power switch.
- Start the product by pressing the power switch (8).
How to Use
- Hold the product by the handle and the front handle (1) when working.
- For best results, the workpiece should be sawn with the bottom side up.
- Saw by moving the product so that the marking (14) follows the drawn sawing line.
- To saw at a bevel angle of 45 °, the marking (13) is used.
- Keep the power cord away from the work area.
- The cord should always be behind the back end of the product.
Maintainance
- Pull out the plug/remove the battery before cleaning, adjusting, maintenance and/or changing accessories.
- Remove dust and dirt with a clean cloth moistened with a mild detergent.
- Do not use petrol, solvent or detergent that can damage the plastic parts.
- Keep the ventilation openings on the product clean, and remove dust at regular intervals.
- Service must only be carried out by an authorised service centre.
- Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
