FAQs
Q: Do I need to add oil or liquid before turning it on?
Indeed. Before heating, always make sure the pot has enough liquid (broth, oil, cheese, or chocolate). The pot surface and heating element may sustain damage if the device is run empty.
Q: What is the capacity of the Orbegozo FDR 14?
With its estimated 1 litre capacity, the stainless steel fondue pot can accommodate 4–6 people, making it perfect for intimate get-togethers or family dinners.
Q: Is the fondue pot removable and dishwasher safe?
Yes, the fondue forks and stainless steel pot are dishwasher safe and detachable. However, avoid submerging the electrical components or foundation in water. Use only a moist cloth to clean them.
Q: What do the colored tips on the forks mean?
You can easily distinguish your fork while using it because each colour represents a different visitor. When multiple people are cooking in the same pot at once, this capability comes in quite helpful.
Q: How long does it take to heat up?
Depending on the liquid used and the temperature setting chosen, the unit usually heats up in 5 to 8 minutes. Always keep a tight eye on it while it’s preheating.
Q: Can I use the fondue pot on a regular stove?
No, only its electric base is intended for use with the Orbegozo FDR 14. Direct exposure to an open flame or hob may result in warping or damage.
