It is the owner’s and installer’s responsibility to read and comply with all safety information and instructions accompanying these symbols.
The manufacturer will not be responsible for any injury or property damage arising from improper supervision, service or service procedures. If you service this unit, you assume responsibility for any injury or property damage which may result. In addition, in jurisdictions that require one or more licenses to service the equipment specified in this manual, only licensed personnel should service the equipment.
Improper supervision, installation, adjustment, servicing, maintenance or repair of the equipment specified in this manual, or attempting to install, adjust, service or repair the equipment specified in this manual without proper supervision or training, may result in product damage, property damage, personal injury or death.
Installation
During installation of the kit:
- Disconnect wires coming from the thermostat and outdoor unit to the indoor unit.
- Connect appropriate wires from the thermostat to the integration kit’s “Thermostat” terminals.
- Use new wires to connect the integration kit’s “Indoor Unit” terminals to the indoor.
- If applicable, disconnect 4 wires for EEV coil from Indoor unit, and connect them to PCB’s “Indoor Unit” terminal per the wiring diagram provided on page 10.
- Complete the verification step.
- Verify normal operation.
- Verify mitigation function.
- Verify system returns to normal operation.
- Install and mount the kit.
Non-Communicating Outdoor Air Conditioner or Heat Pump
Perform the control R-32 leakage test for all modes of operation one by one – Cooling, Heating, Emergency heating, Constant fan and Idle. Each test will take approximately 2 to 15 minutes.
- Set the thermostat to one of the operation modes and ensure the system is running properly in that mode. Note which mode is being tested. The test sequence will need to be run again under the other modes as well.
- Locate the push button on the Non-A2L Furnace Integration Kit control and press it two times.
- The HVAC operation that was chosen should turn off (compressor, electric heat, gas heat) after a short period of time (times will vary depending on the installed system, but Electric Heat or Gas Heat should turn off within 30 seconds,s and the outdoor unit should turn off within 2 minutes).
- The indoor blower will begin to operate within 30 seconds and remain running.
- Once steps c and d have been confirmed, the test is successful. It is recommended to wait for the full 5-minute test to expire.
- Wait for the system to return to the state it was in after the first step, to confirm the system will automatically recover, and then repeat the tests on the Goodman NON-A2L Furnace Integration Kit using the other HVAC modes not previously tested.
Communicating Outdoor Air Conditioner or Heat Pump

- Wait for the system to return to the state it was in after the first step, to confirm the system will automatically recover, and then repeat the tests on the Goodman NON-A2L Furnace Integration Kit using the other HVAC modes not previously tested.
Limited Warranty
Who Is Providing The Warranty?
This warranty is provided to you by Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. (“Daikin”), which warrants all parts of this heating or air conditioning unit, as described below.
To What Type Of Installations Does This Warranty Apply?
This warranty applies to heating and air conditioning units installed in buildings other than residences. Different warranties apply to units installed in owner-occupied residences and in residences not occupied by the owner.
What Problems Does This Warranty Cover?
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that appear under normal use and maintenance.
What Problems Does This Warranty Not Cover?
Daikin is not responsible for:
- Damage or repairs required as a consequence of faulty installation or application.
- Damage as a result of floods, fires, winds, lightning, natural disasters, accidents, corrosive atmosphere, or other conditions beyond Daikin’s control.
- Parts or accessories not supplied or designated by the manufacturer.
- Damage or the need for repairs resulting from any improper use, maintenance, operation, or servicing.
- Changes in the appearance of the unit that do not affect its performance.
- Replacement of fuses and replacement or resetting of circuit breakers.
- Damage or the need for repairs resulting from the use of unapproved refrigerant types or used or recycled refrigerant.
- Damage or the need for repairs arising from the use of components or accessories not compatible with this unit. Normal maintenance as described in the installation and operating manual, such as cleaning of the coils, filter cleaning and/or replacement, and lubrication.
When Does Warranty Coverage Begin?
Warranty coverage begins on the “installation date.” The installation date is one of two dates:
- The first four digits of the serial number (YYMM) on the unit indicate the manufacture date.
How Long Does Warranty Coverage Last?
The warranty on all parts lasts for a period of up to 5 YEARS after the installation date. The replacement of a part under this warranty does Goodman GLXT7C Air Conditioning & Heating not extend the warranty period. In other words, Daikin warrants a replacement part only for the period remaining under the applicable warranty on the original part.
What Will Daikin Do To Correct Problems?
Furnishing of the replacement part is Daikin’s only responsibility under this warranty.
What Won’t Daikin Do To Correct Problems?
Labor, freight, or any other cost associated Goodman GLXT7C Air Conditioning & Heating with the service, repair, or operation of the unit, the deinstallation of any defective part, or Goodman GLXT7C Air Conditioning & Heating the installation of any replacement part. Electricity or fuel costs, or increases in electricity Goodman GLXT7C Air Conditioning & Heating or fuel costs, for any reason, including additional or unusual use of supplemental electric heat. Lodging or transportation charges. Refrigerant
How Can The Owner Receive Warranty Service?
If there is a problem with the unit, contact a licensed contractor. To receive a replacement part, a licensed contractor must bring the defective part to a Daikin heating and air conditioning products distributor. Where Can Any Legal Remedies Be Pursued?
- ARBITRATION REQUIREMENT
It includes any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to your purchase of this heating or air conditioning unit, any warranty upon the unit, or the unit’s condition. - Discovery and Other Rights
Discovery and rights to appeal in arbitration are Goodman GLXT7C Air Conditioning & Heating generally more limited than in a lawsuit. This applies to both you and us. - Rules of the Arbitration
United States residents may choose JAMS (1920 Main Street, Ste. 300, Irvine, CA 92614 or, subject to our approval, any other arbitration organisation. - Costs of the Arbitration
Each party is responsible for its attorney, expert, and other costs and fees unless applicable law requires otherwise. - Survival and Enforceability of this Arbitration Clause
This Arbitration Clause shall survive the expiration or termination, or any transfer, of the warranty on your unit. Any remaining parts will proceed in arbitration.
