JAMO MPA-101 Multi-Purpose Amplifier
Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the JAMO MPA-101 Multi-Purpose Amplifier, backed by state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing techniques to deliver the best craftsmanship and reliable performance.
The JAMO MPA-101 Multi-Purpose Amplifier is specifically designed for home theatre applications. With ample power and two-channel stereo capacity, it can fit into virtually any surround setup. A narrow-width chassis allows convenient shelf or rack mounting in the space of one stereo component.
It allows you to use one amplifier as left and right stereo front speakers, a second amplifier as left and right rear (surround) speakers, and a third amplifier for the centre channel.
Bridge mode capability allows the use of the two channels connected to form one high-power amplifier channel, providing 100 watts into 8 8-ohm.
The MPA-101 is also a subwoofer amplifier with an adjustable electronic crossover. With the switch in the OFF position, it becomes a full-range amplifier.
The power rating for the Jamo MPA-101 power amplifier is obtained using fixed value test load impedances and high-intensity sine wave test tones. However, the actual impedance of the loudspeaker will vary with frequency, deviating somewhat from the loudspeaker manufacturer’s nominal impedance rating.
This Jamo amplifier has been specially designed to drive any modern loudspeaker system with a rated impedance of 4 Ohms or higher.

Connection
To set up your JAMO MPA-101 Multi-Purpose Amplifier, use the gold-plated push-button binding posts, which will accept very heavy stripped wire. For connecting external speakers, consider using the JAMO 3A2 All-Weather Satellite Speakers for clear and powerful surround sound. Ask your local Jamo dealer for advice on the choice of cable. Connect the loudspeakers to your JAMO MPA-101 Multi-Purpose Amplifier as follows:
- Turnonf the MPA-101
- Carefully remove approximately. 3/8“ (10 mm) of the insulating material, do not damage the conductors!
- Twist the conductor ends
- Push the binding posts so the conductors can easily fit into the holes

Always make sure that.
Your loudspeakers are in correct phase; The loudspeaker’s + terminal is connected to the Jamo MPA-101’s + terminal. The loudspeaker’s terminal is connected to the Jamo MPA-101’s terminal. Usually, the loudspeaker cable is marked on one wire, which is normally used to connect the + terminals to ensure correct phase.
Connecting Examples

When „Low pass“ is selected, you can adjust the low pass frequency between 50 – 150 Hz. This makes it possible to make the subwoofer match your front speakers.

Daisy chain
When using this feature, you can connect all MPAs-101s01 in parallel, el you need.

FAQs
Q: Can I connect multiple microphones at the same time?
Indeed, numerous microphone inputs are supported by the MPA-101. To balance levels, change the volume of each channel separately.
Q: Can I connect headphones to the MPA-101?
Yes, if there is a dedicated headphone output, utilise it. To prevent hearing damage, change the volume.
Q: Can the amplifier be rack-mounted?
Verify the measurements and mounting specifications. If supported, use a rack-mount kit that is suitable.
Q: Why is there a humming sound coming from the amplifier?
Keep audio cables away from power cords. To reduce hum, use balanced XLR or TRS cables for microphones.
Q: How do I prevent overheating?
Make sure the area surrounding the amplifier has enough ventilation. Keep it away from sources of heat. Avoid obstructing the cooling vents. If operating at high levels for prolonged periods of time, lower the master volume.
Q: Can I connect multiple speakers to the amplifier?
Yes, but make sure to verify the linked speakers’ overall impedance. To avoid damage, stay above the suggested minimum impedance. In accordance with the manual’s instructions, use parallel or series wiring.
Q: Why is one channel quieter than the others?
Verify each channel’s balance and volume controls. Examine connections and cables for damage. To determine whether the problem is with the source or amplifier, switch up the input sources.
