    Usage

    STARTING

    1. Always check before use that the required accessory is correctly and securely fitted.
    2. Check the oil level with the dipstick (marked with an oil symbol) before use.
    3. Top up the oil, if necessary.
    4. Open the fuel filler cap (marked with a fuel symbol) and check the fuel level.
    5. Top up with fuel, if necessary.
    6. Check that the switch arm is in the closed position.
    7. Move the throttle lever to the start position.
    8. Press the primer bulb 3–5 times.
    9. Pull the starter cord to start the motor.

Adjusting the Height of the Intake Opening

There are five positions. Pull out the height adjuster lever from the slot in the adjuster arm and move it to the slot for the required height.

    Shock-Absorber Rollers

If the product collides with a solid object at normal moving speed (3.4 km/h) and at an angle of no more than 45°, the shock-absorber roller rolls against the solid object to change the direction of the product. This protects the product from damage as a result of a collision. Do not exceed the normal speed when using wheel drive and avoid collision at an angle of more than 45°. Otherwise, the shock-absorber rollers will not work and the intake lid can be damaged.

    Wheel Drive

When the engine starts, first press the drive lever for the rotating brush and then press the drive lever for wheel drive against the handle.

    Hose

    Suction function

    1. Fit the hose in accordance with the instructions.
    2. Fit the lid over the intake opening.
    3. Start the product and point the hose at the rubbish to be vacuumed.

    Telescopic tube

    1. Use the telescopic hose to adjust the length of the handle.
    2. Press the catch with your thumb to pull the handle in or out.

    Blower Function

    1. Close the back cover.
    2. Connect the hose to the back hose connection.
    3. Start the product and point the hose at the rubbish.

    Using the Bag

    1. Air can flow back in through the intake opening when the bag is full, or if the ventilation openings in the bag are blocked by dust.
    2. Fit the bag in accordance with the instructions.
    3. If this happens, open the zip over the outlet opening to ventilate the bag or check if it is full.
    4. When the bag is full, switch off the product, remove the bag, and empty it.

    Maintainance & Cleaning

Clean and store the product by following these instructions for the best Meec Tools 013150 2 kW 58 cm Leaf Blower functionality and life span. Follow the instructions below to prevent corrosion and make it easier to start the engine the next time.

    • Check that the fuel cock is closed before cleaning the casing on the product.
    • Release the spark plug lead from the spark plug. Put the product on its side, with the air filter up.
    • This reduces the risk of leaking fuel and flooding the carburettor, which can make it difficult to start.
    • Clean the engine by hand. Make sure that no water gets into the air filter.
    • Do not spray the engine with water; this will increase the risk of water getting into the air filter.
    • If air gets into the air filter, it can reach the carburettor and the engine, and cause damage.
    • Do not expose the engine to water when it is hot; this can damage the engine.
    • Allow a hot engine to cool for at least 30 minutes before cleaning.
    • Wipe all accessible parts of the product after cleaning.
    • Switch off the engine and allow it to cool.
    Clean the bag

Remove the bag from the product and wash it with a hose or high-pressure jet. Allow the bag to dry completely before putting it away.

    Changing the Oil
    • Always check before use that the oil level is between the top and bottom markings on the dipstick.
    • Change the oil after 25 working hours and thereafter at regular intervals in accordance with the instructions. Tilt the product before filling with oil so that the old oil runs out through the oil filler.
    • Do not tilt the product the other way. This will Meec Tools 013150 2 kW 58 cm Leaf Blower cause oil to get iintothe carburettor, which will damage it. Change the oil when the engine is warm, but not hot. Do not fill oil over the max marking on the dipstick.
    • Overfilling will cause the engine to smoke and lose power, and can result in the accumulation of soot in the cylinder and spark plug. The engine can also overheat.
    • Too little oil can cause the engine and gearbox to vibrate and wear down the piston ring, and can cause the engine to seize.
    Air Filter

Check the air filter before and after use. It can be difficult to start the engine if the filter is blocked, and it will emit smoke and lose power. Clean the air filter more often in dusty conditions. If there is a paper filter element, remove it and remove the dust on it. If there is a foam rubber filter element, clean it with petrol, allow it to dry and apply a little lubricating oil on it. The oil helps the filter element trap dust. Do not wash the part of the filter inside the foam rubber with water. The inner part is made of paper, and water can block the pores, which reduces the capacity of the engine. Blow clean this part of the filter with compressed air.

    Cooling Fins

The cooling fins reduce noise and cool the engine. Dust and impurities can accumulate on the cooling fins and reduce the cooling effect. This can lead to overheating and damage the engine. Carefully clean the cooling fins after use.

    Refuelling

If the fuel runs out, allow the engine to cool for at least 10 minutes before refuelling; otherwise, there is a risk of the hot engine igniting the fuel. Fill up with the amount of fuel specified in the technical data. Overfillingwill blockk the ventilation hole in the fuel cap, which will prevent the flow of fuel to the engine.

    Storage

    Preparations for storage

Keep petrol away from naked flames and other sources of heat.

    1. Empty the fuel tank with an emptying pump.
    2. Run the engine until the fuel tank is empty and the engine stops.
    3. Remove the spark plug. Pour 20 ml of clean engine oil into the cylinder through the spark plug hole.
    4. Slowly pull the starter cord to distribute the oil.
    5. Clean and lubricate the product in accordance with the instructions.
    6. Apply rust inhibitor to the impeller and exposed metal parts.
    7. Store the product in a clean, dry and frost-free place out of the reach of unauthorised persons.
    8. Allow the engine to cool completely before putting it away.

    FAQs

Q: What type of leaf blower is the Meec Tools 013150?

This strong 2 kW electric leaf blower is made to remove dust, leaves, grass clippings and small yard debris from roads, patios and gardens.

Q: Is the leaf blower corded or cordless?

As a corded electric blower, the Meec Tools 013150 needs a 230 V mains connection to function.

Q: What is the maximum airspeed or airflow?

Powered by its 2 kW motor, this blower usually provides high-speed airflow appropriate for medium-to-large outdoor settings (precise velocity varies by version).

Q: What is the 58 cm measurement referring to?

The 58 cm length often refers to the total length of the nozzle or tube, which aids in effectively directing airflow across a larger region.

Q: Does this blower also work as a vacuum or mulcher?

No. This model is not meant to be used as a hoover or mulching machine, but rather as a blower.

Q: What extension cord should I use?

Make use of a sturdy, outdoor-rated extension cord that can support a minimum 2 kW load and ideally has splash protection.

Q: Is the leaf blower noisy?

Although electric blowers are often quieter than gasoline-powered ones, this one nevertheless makes a fair amount of noise. For extended sessions, ear protection is advised.

Q: Can I use the blower to clear light snow?

It is not intended for heavy or wet snow, but it may remove dry, powdery snow.
