Operation
Straight Cutting
- Place the cutting wheel on the rear edge of the tile.
Slide the wheel forward by pushing the handle down with medium pressure. Scoring the tile surface glaze as the handle is pushed forward. It is important to make one continuous motion, scoring the surface only once per time.
After scoring and without moving the tile position, the breaker is slightly in the front edge of the tile and the front stop. Apply increasing pressure on the handle until the tile snaps along the score line.
After scoring, it is better to pull back the handle to let the breaker slightly backtrack 5-10m; it’s the best position to break the tile.
Diagonal Cutting
Put the tile on the machine against the adjusted Vevor 8103E-2/17 Inch Tile Cutting Machine angle ruler. Place the cutting wheel on the rear edge of the tile.

FAQs
Q: What is the Vevor 8102E Tile Cutter designed for?
It is perfect for professional installation and home remodelling projects since it produces straight, clean cuts without requiring water or energy.
Q: What size tiles can this cutter handle?
This type is appropriate for large-format floor and wall tiles since it can cut tiles up to 47 inches (1200 mm) in length and around 16 mm (⅝ inch) thick.
Q: Does the 8102E require power or water to operate?
It’s a manual tile cutter, that’s what. Neither water cooling nor electricity is needed. The tile surface is scored by the tungsten carbide cutting wheel and then cleanly broken along the scored line by a pressure lever.
Q: What does the “8L” refer to in the model name?
A long handle with a higher cutting power that is appropriate for thick or dense porcelain tiles is denoted by the “8L,” which usually relates to the handle leverage and structural design size.
Q: Can I make diagonal or angled cuts?
Indeed! With the Vevor 8102E’s adjustable angle guide (0°–60°), you can precisely cut corners or diagonals.
Q: What should I do if the guide rail becomes misaligned?
To correct the rail, use the adjustment screws or the Allen wrench that comes with it. Verify that the wheel travels the full length of the cutter in a line with the ruler markings.
Q: Is calibration necessary?
Indeed. Heavy use over time may result in slight alignment changes. Run the cutting wheel along a straightedge once a week to check the calibration, or before big work. Achieve exact alignment by adjusting the guide rail.
