FAQs
Q: What makes the TO3290XSD different from other countertop ovens?
Convection heating, extra-large capacity, and digital precision are all combined in the Black & Decker TO3290XSD to provide quicker, more even cooking. It can accommodate an entire chicken, eight slices of bread, or a 13-inch pizza, combining the capabilities of a mini-oven and a toaster into one device.
Q: What is convection cooking, and when should I use it?
Convection cooking promotes quicker and more even heating by moving hot air around using an integrated fan. It’s perfect for evenly toasting several items, baking cookies, and roasting meats. Depending on your recipe, convection can be turned on or off.
Q: How do I adjust temperature and time manually?
Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust the temperature (150°F to 450°F) and time after choosing your cooking function. To start or stop cooking at any moment, press Start/Stop.
Q: Can I use metal pans or aluminium foil inside the oven?
Yes, this oven is safe to use with aluminium foil and metal bakeware. The entire rack or crumb tray should not be covered with foil, though, since this could obstruct airflow and compromise cooking results.
Q: Why does the oven emit smoke or an odor the first time I use it?
During the initial uses, this is typical. As the protective factory coating on heating elements burns off, a slight smell or smoke may be detected. It is transient and safe.
Q: How do I toast bread evenly?
Make sure the slices are centred on the rack and use the Toast or Bagel feature. Avoid stacking slices and use room-temperature bread for optimal results.
