Safety Instructions

Please follow all the precautions listed below for safety and to reduce the risk of injury or electric shock.

1. Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
2. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid; the product is splash-proof only.
3. Do not allow the appliance to be exposed to rain or moisture during use or storage.

CHARGING

DO NOT allow the appliance to charge for more than 2 hours. Normal charge takes approximately 1.5 hours. If any abnormality occurs during charging (such as a burning smell or excessive heat, or even a strange sound), immediately turn off the charger and disconnect the USB cable.

• Take the USB Cable and fully unravel it before using it to charge the Appliance.
• Plug the small end of the USB cable directly into the bottom of the appliance.
• Plug the large end of the USB cable into your 5Vdc. 1A USB charger (not supplied).
• When fully charged, the display will show “100”.
• Unplug the USB charging cable from the appliance.

Operation

Rotary Shaver

1. Remove the protective cap.
2. Press the On/Off button, and he shaver operates in standard speed.
3. Press the On/Off button the second time to activate the Turbo speed, which the Anko AD-1002 Cordless Rotary Shaver will provide a more aggressive shave.
4. Move the shaver quickly over your skin and against the growing direction of the beard. Make both straight and circular movements.
5. Press the On/Off button again to turn OFF the shaver.
6. Put the protective cap on the shaver every time after Anko AD-1002 Cordless Rotary Shaver to prevent damage.

Using the trimmer

1. Press the trimmer release button to release the pop-up trimmer.
2. Press the On/Off switch to turn on the shaver.
3. Slowly guide the trimmer up to the hair you intend to cut.
4. Always use short strokes to cut your hair.
5. Switch the shaver OFF by pressing the On/Off switch.
6. Push the trimmer downwards until it locks back in place.

Travel lock

1. To lock: Press and hold the On/Off switch for 3 seconds, then release.
2. The “Travel Lock” indicator will flash 4 times to tell the user that the lock is activated.
3. To unlock: Press and hold the On/Off switch for 3 seconds.
4. The display will count down from2-1 and will unlock and turn the shaver on.
5. At the same time, release the On/Off button.

Cleaning & Maintainance

To ensure optimal shaving efficiency, the shaver must be cleaned regularly.

• Make sure to switch OFF the shaver and disconnect it from USB power before cleaning.
• Push the head release button and open the rotary head assembly.
• Turn the inner rack lock anticlockwise and detach the rack. Remove the inner cutter and mesh.
• Clean the frame, inner cutter, and mesh with the cleaning brush provided.
• After cleaning with a brush, rinse them under tap water.
• Carefully shake off excess water and allow all the parts to dry thoroughly.
• Reassemble the rotary head in reverse order.

Never attempt to dry the shaving unit with a towel or tissue, as this may damage the parts. When assembling the rotary head, please ensure the projections of the mesh can fit exactly into the rack.

Oiling blades

• Rinsing attachments under water requires lubricating the cutting blades monthly.
• Using only light-grade oils (e.g. sewing machine oil), simply spread 1-2 drops lightly over cutters with a fingertip. Wipe away any excess.
• Do not use hair oil, grease, or any oil mixed with kerosene or solvent.

Storage

1. Switch the shaver OFF and clean all components. Make sure that all parts are dry before you pack them up.
2. Store the shaver in a clean, dry area.
3. Make sure that the shaver and the accessories are out of the reach of children and animals.
