FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is the Black & Decker RC3303 3-Cup Rice Cooker used for?
A small and user-friendly rice cooker, the Black & Decker RC3303 can cook up to 3 cups of cooked rice (1.5 cups uncooked). Small homes, dorms, or anyone else who desires properly cooked rice with little work should use it.
Q: How does the “Keep Warm” function work?
To keep the rice at serving temperature, the device automatically transitions to Keep Warm mode after cooking.
Q: Do I need to soak rice before cooking?
Soaking for 15 to 30 minutes can help improve texture and cut down on cooking time for sticky, brown, or wild rice.
Q: Can I open the lid while the rice is cooking?
Opening the cover during cooking releases steam and alters the cooking temperature; therefore, it’s better to avoid doing so. Check your rice only after the COOK light has gone out.
Q: Can I use the RC3303 to steam vegetables?
Sure, provided you have a suitable steaming tray (available for separate purchase). To make a nutritious one-pot dinner, arrange vegetables in the tray above the rice.
