    FAQs

Q: How long does it take to toast a sandwich?

Bread filling and thickness affect cooking time. The sandwich should be brown and crispy after 3 to 5 minutes on average.
You may need to add a little more time for thick fillings or melted cheese.

Q: Do I need to preheat the appliance?

Indeed. Prior to adding food, always preheat the sandwich maker for approximately three minutes. When it reaches the ideal temperature, you can tell by the “ready” indicator light.

Q: Can I use butter or oil on the plates?

There is no need for oil or butter because the plates are coated to prevent sticking. To add more flavour or crispiness, you might lightly oil the bread or plates.

Q: Can I make more than sandwiches with this appliance?

Indeed! Additionally, the DOMO DO9195C can be used to reheat appetisers, omelettes, tortillas, and pastries. Foods with a lot of liquid or runny batter should be avoided since they could spill into the heating element.

Q: How do I know when the sandwich is ready?

When heating, the ready-to-cook indication light goes out; when the temperature reaches the desired level, it returns. But the biggest clue is the sandwich’s colour—when the edges are golden brown, it’s done!

Q: Can I remove the plates for cleaning?

No, the non-stick plates on the DO9195C are fixed and cannot be removed. But once cooled, their flat surface makes cleaning easy with a moist cloth.

Q: Why is there smoke or odour during the first use?

As protective residues burn off in the first few minutes of usage, a faint smoke or plastic-like scent is typical.
Performance is unaffected, and this will go away after the first warm-up.

Q: Does the DOMO DO9195C have automatic temperature control?

Indeed. The ideal temperature for even cooking is maintained by the appliance’s integrated thermostat. When necessary, it automatically turns the heating element on and off.
