    FAQs

Q: What is the Livarno Cast Iron Grill Pan used for?

This grill pan is made for grilling sandwiches, meat, fish and vegetables on the hob. It produces real grill marks, disperses heat uniformly, and improves flavour while using less oil.

Q: Can the pan go in the oven?

Yes, this type and the majority of cast-iron pans are safe to use in the oven. But if the handle isn’t completely heat-resistant, don’t put it under a grill. For maximum temperature restrictions, always refer to the handbook.

Q: Can I use metal utensils in this pan?

Indeed, cast iron is strong and resistant to metal cutlery. To preserve the seasoning layer for a longer period of time, wooden or silicone utensils are advised.

Q: Can I cook acidic foods like tomatoes in this pan?

Acidic foods can be cooked sometimes, but extended cooking might weaken the spice. To keep the pan’s non-stick qualities, reseason it as necessary.

Q: How long does a cast-iron pan last?

A cast-iron pan can endure for decades or even generations with the right maintenance. Its durability and non-stick surface can be preserved with regular seasoning and appropriate storage.

Q: Can I use this pan for outdoor cooking?

If the pan is handled carefully with oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves, it can be used over a barbecue or campfire.

Q: Is this pan dishwasher safe?

No, you should never put cast-iron cookware in the dishwasher since it might create rust and remove seasoning. It is crucial to wash your hands and dry them carefully.

Q: Can I use this pan on induction cooktops?

Indeed, the cast iron construction is suitable for induction. For even heating, make sure the pan is flat on the induction surface.
