Safety Instructions
- When handling, keep the cabinet upright with the inclination not exceeding 45 degrees. Do not invert the machine or lay it horizontally.
- There are rotating components in this ice machine. Do not insert slim objects into ventilation or exhaust ports, or serious mechanical damage and injury may occur.
- Do not store volatile or flammable substances in this ice machine, as it may result in an explosion or fire.
- Do not store any sundries or freeze any food in the storage bin. Keep the ice scoop clean.
- An insufficient base may cause the equipment to fall over and cause injury.
- There should be sufficient ventilation space around the ice machine.
- Clean the ice storage bin and the food area inside with a sponge soaked in warm water and soap. Then, rinse with potable water and dry
- Connect the machine to the water supply using the 3/4″ inlet fitting supplied with the machine. It is
recommended to install a water ball valve (not supplied with this machine) on the water supply line. - Connect the drain line to the drain connector.
- Confirm the power requirements stated in the machine’s nameplate; ensure that the power supply meets the requirements.
- Turn off the switch on the power line and connect the machine to the power source.
Adjusting the Temperature
Defrost System
- To ensure optimal performance, defrost when the thickness of the ice on the cabinet wall reaches 1/4″.
- To defrost, turn the temperature control knob to the lowest setting (the lowest number on numbered controllers) for 5-6 hours before defrosting.
- Power the freezer off and take all the food out.
- To manually defrost, unplug the unit and use a drainage tube to release the water from the melted ice.
- Wipe the inside of the cabinet with a cloth, then plug the unit back in to get back to optimal serving temperature before inserting the product.
Cleaning the Interior of the Unit
- While defrosting, open the panel to access the drain tube to release excess water.
- Lower the condensation drainage pipe and connect it to a drain or bucket to catch the drainage water.
- After draining, clean the wall with a dry cloth and then turn the power back on.
Unplug Cord
- To minimize shock and fire hazards, do not plug in or unplug the cord with wet hands.
- Unplug the unit during maintenance and cleaning
Proper Grounding Required
- To minimize shock and fire hazards, make sure that the unit is properly grounded
Operation / Maintenance
Loading Product
- Do not block the air vents.
- Ensure all accessories are sitting level and properly secured before loading products.
- Be sure to power the freezer off before cleaning it .
- Do not store flammable and explosive gases or liquids inside the unit .
- If you plan to stop using the freezer, power it off, then clean the inside and keep the door open for 2-3 days to let it dry
Cleaning the Interior of the Unit
- Use a soft cloth with moderate detergent and warm water to clean the freezer.
- Do not use steel wool, caustic soap, abrasive cleaners, or bleach that may damage the interior finish. Use warm water to clean oil or fruit juice stains on the gasket to keep its elasticity. Apply talcum powder to the gasket to prolong its life.e
- Periodically, remove the accessories AVANTCO 360DFC6HCL Ice Cream Display Freezer from the unit and clean them with mild soap and warm water.
Troubleshooting
