FAQs
Q: How long does it take to cook a waffle?
Ans: Depending on the batter type and your preferred level of crispness, waffles typically take 4–6 minutes to cook. To adjust timing, always keep an eye on the initial batches.
Q: How will I know when the waffles are ready?
Ans: The waffle maker has a readiness indication light that shows when it is ready to use and might also show how long it has been cooking. For optimal outcomes, carefully verify doneness using the golden colour and texture.
Q: Do I need to use cooking spray or oil?
Ans: Although the waffle plates are non-stick, it is advised to lightly brush them with cooking spray or high-smoke-point oil before each use to facilitate waffle release and extend the non-stick life.
Q: Does the waffle maker have adjustable temperature controls?
Ans: Browning can be adjusted manually using the temperature control on the 74002 model. If you like your waffles crispy or soft, start at medium and adjust up or down.
Q: Is the exterior cool to the touch during operation?
Ans: When in use, the stainless steel housing may become warm. When opening or closing the unit, exercise caution and only use the cool-touch handles.
Q: Can I remove the plates for washing?
Ans: No, this model’s plates cannot be removed. To clean them, use a non-abrasive cloth and a small amount of warm water mixed with a light detergent.
Q: Can I store the waffle maker vertically?
Ans: Indeed, when completely cooled and secured, the Dualit Waffle Maker may be kept upright due to its space-saving design. Before storage, always wrap the cable around the base.
Q: How long should I preheat the unit?
Ans: The “Ready” indication light should turn on after 5 to 6 minutes of preheating.
