    FAQs

Q: How long does it take for the steamart?

Usually, 30 to 60 seconds after the unit is turned on, steam starts to form. For rapid heating, make sure the steaming bowls and lid are seated correctly.

Q: Can I use both steaming bowls at the same time?

Indeed! To cook many dishes at once, you can stack both bowls. Put delicate foods (like vegetables or fish) in the upper bowl and longer-cooking meals (like meats or grains) in the lower basin.

Q: Do I need to use oil or seasoning while steaming?

Although oil is not needed, you can add herbs, lemon slices, or spices to the water tray to subtly add flavour, or you can season food before steaming.

Q: Can I cook rice in this steamer?

Indeed! Make use of the rice bowl accessory that is offered. Place the bowl in the lower steaming tray, add 1 cup of rice and 1¼ cups of water, and cook for 25 to 35 minutes, depending on the type of rice.

Q: Can I put the steaming bowls in the dishwasher?

Indeed, the rice bowl, lid, and translucent steaming bowls are dishwasher safe (top rack only).
Always clean the base and water reservoir by hand.

Q: Is it safe to open the lid during steaming?

Because hot steam might burn people and release cooking heat, don’t open the lid in the middle of the cycle. Use oven mitts and open the lid away from your face if you have to inspect food.

Q: What should I do if I see mineral buildup or white spots inside?

Hard water deposits are the cause of it, which is typical. Regularly descaling using a 1:1 vinegar-water solution will ensure effective steam production.
