FAQs
Q: What is the purpose of the Reznor SC High CFM Conversion Kit?
This makes it possible for the unit to manage increased ventilation needs or better air distribution across bigger areas.
Q: Which Reznor SC models are compatible with this conversion kit?
Model and year of manufacturing affect compatibility. Prior to installation, make sure your heater’s model and serial number match the compatibility list provided by Reznor or your distributor.
Q: Do I need to disconnect power before installing the kit?
Indeed. To prevent electrical shock or harm, power must be completely cut off at the breaker before beginning any installation or wiring work.
Q: Does installing the kit affect the unit’s warranty?
The conversion usually does not violate the warranty if it is installed by a certified HVAC expert in accordance with the approved instructions. Warranty coverage may be impacted by unauthorised changes or incorrect installation.
Q: Will I need to rewire the heater after installing the kit?
Indeed. Usually, a portion of the motor wiring needs to be changed or adjusted for the conversion. Refer to the wiring schematic that came with the kit.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate airflow settings?
Following installation, you need to make sure the heater is operating within the manufacturer’s requirements, check static pressure, and confirm airflow. Certain installations might need to check control board jumper settings or modify fan speed taps.
