Q: What is the DWR-M955X router used for?

The DWR-M955X is a dual-purpose Wi-Fi router and 4G LTE modem that offers high-speed Wi-Fi 6 wireless performance and enables users to access the internet via a wired Ethernet connection or mobile SIM card.

    Q: Does the router support Wi-Fi 6?

It utilises Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) technology, which surpasses earlier Wi-Fi standards in terms of speed, coverage, and efficiency.

Q: Can I use a wired Internet connection instead of LTE?

Indeed. As an alternative to mobile data, you can connect to a conventional broadband modem or network source thanks to the router’s WAN/LAN ports.

    Q: Does the DWR-M955X support dual-band Wi-Fi?

Indeed. For the best coverage and speed, the router transmits in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands.

Q: How many devices can connect at once?

The router can manage multiple devices simultaneously due to Wi-Fi 6, making it ideal for homes with smart TVs, phones, tablets, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Q: What is OFDMA and why does it matter?

The router can serve several devices at once with reduced latency thanks to OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access), which enhances performance in congested networks.

Q: Can I lock the router to a specific LTE band?

Certain versions provide LTE band selection via the advanced settings or web interface. Examine the manual’s “Mobile Network Settings” section.
